Not to change the subject, but does Norm Coleman's name come up on any of those 2008 threads? Maybe too soon for him, but he seems pretty steady (and appealing nationally?). Ok, sorry for going of course here..

Unlike a lot of Minnesota Republicans, Norm Coleman, former DFL Mayor of St. Paul, is solidly conservative. He would make a great running mate in 2008 and possibly even a candidate. The guy is good, smooth and honest. Despite the Wellstone pep-fest, Walter Mondale was a formidable candidate who had never lost an election in Minnesota (though he came close against Reagan in 1984).

Actually, the name from MN politics that pops up every now and then as a 2008 Presidential contnder is Governor Tim Pawlenty.
