It's been done. No point doing 100K of 'em tho, because
even a stupid enemy catches on pretty quickly, and learns
to read and verify the armory marks on the cartons.

... do have to wonder about some of those Pali "work
accidents" tho ...

We did some stuff like that in Vietnam. I don't know if we are doing it now. It would not be announced if it were so.

This was done in the Cold War.

That was done with hand grenades in Viet Nam. Worked about four times then just turned into booby traps.
