Muslim and Moslem are both appropriate spellings.

Puppy recovering from the ordeal states, "Bambi made me do it."

People are supposed to spell better than dogs.

Some people might also want to consult a dictionary to look up acceptable alternative spellings.

Was the puppy in a gun free zone? If so...it should be brought to justice, and punished to the full extent the law allows.

Good job by the puppy, too bad the puppy missed. The guy should've received the bullet in the head.

Which is why I prefer "moslem" to Muslim myself, of course. Mahometan or Mohammedan might be even better, but it's too long-takes too long to type.

Mussleman is also nice...

"Dogs are not people but (some) people are dogs"

And people make choices...the dogs are just doing their thing.

[One of them doing it quite well]

It doesn't surprise me that you are against the pups since you live in Bangkok and probably eat poor puppies.

I wish the pup would have shot this bad man in the Balls.

Forget jail time for animal cruelty, this guy should be shot in the head with the same pistol he used. I don't care about whales, spotted owls, French yellow bellied ground slugs, or anything like that, but cruel behavior to Man's best friend should be prosecuted as if it were done to another human. This guy could've sent the dogs to a shelter.

Regretfully I had to take similar actions with a pack of wild dogs born on my grandfather's farm.

Wild dogs and feral cats are not adoptable pets. They will be euthanized by the shelter, usually right after acceptance. Pets are adoptable as pets, which is why a shelter makes more sense for them.

Frankly, if you have a wild dog problem, it is probably the best thing all around to just bait them and shoot them. There are too many opportunities for injury if you go trying to catch them and transport them down to the animal shelter.

I really posted this more as a "Stupid Gun Trick" than as a statement on animal rights (a self-cancelling phrase if there ever was one, IMHO).

Because a dog isn't the same as a snake or a rat or a spider.

The pups could have been taken to a local dog shelter and if not adopted a more humane way of putting them down.

No dogs are not human, but you must relize to some of us humans our dogs are the only "kids" we have or will ever have.

We have a 14yr old who is so crippled he can barely make it out to do his duty but his mental ability is fine.

My 10yr old can not do some agiltiy tasks and has started meds for pain as needed but has been crucial in helping me train the now 10month and 4month old "grand kids".

If it wasn't for the boys I would never take a break from caring for my severly disabled son. They get me out of the room and keep me physically active. Now that after 25 yrs we are homebound due to his health care needs and my aging the "boys" are wonderful companions and entertainment for my son and I. This is our first year being homebound and the pups plus the older boys care have wonderfully exhausting.

"Our local animal shelter is the pits. They put these dogs in miserable small cages for a week or so...then they put them down."

Add to that the method of euthenasia that these shelters use and a bullett to the brain may just be less cruel! The drugs, in many shelter's cases, amount to nothing more than suffocation. The only thing that is avoided is actually doing the act themselves.

If the intention of these animal protectors is seen to the logical end, we would no longer be allowed to hunt.

"I wish the pup would have shot this bad man in the Balls"

That is Funny.

Just FYI-Concerning dogs in Bangkok. There are hundreds upon hundreds of strays. They travel in groups. Mostly calm sedate and friendly, but Some have attacked and gnawed on children. Rabies is a huge problem. No is will to kill the animals despite the health risk because being Buddhist, they are afraid of karmic repercussions.

They are only eaten in some poor neighborhoods, and I here acouple of Chinese restaurants (I think up in northern Thailand the practice is much more common, but they only eat strays, not pets.)

For the record I have never eaten a dog, though I was in Cambodia in dec, wait or was it jan?

I Grew up on a farm. we had a couple cows raised them from calfs. Real Pretty eyes. When they were full grown we ate them. I had a pet turkey, when it got to be about 20 pounds or so I butchered and cleaned it my self for my parents one thanks giving. They were our property. Ok, puppies aren't live stock but they are property, thats all I'm saying.
