Will the al Qaeda Attack on Russia Affect America? Lee Ellis

Have you wondered why all the terrorist acts are taking place in various countries rather than here in the USA? Many people, and that includes me, think that it is due to the strength of President Bush and all he has accomplished through the Patriot Act, Homeland Security and other means to protect America and its men, women and children. Al Qaeda has always gone after the weakest links. Under Clinton, we had proved to be weak and had not fought back when our ships, embassies and other projects had been attacked. So the USA, itself, was thought to be vulnerable for a major attack and 9/11 proved it!

However, something had changed in America that the terrorists had not taken into view. We had a new president and commander-in-chief. He was not the bumbling cowboy that Al Qaeda had been led to believe. Bush believed in attacking back with the full military might of the USA; he also believed in taking preemptory action on those countries which were willing to feed, fuel and finance terrorist actions. Unlike Clinton and Kerry, Bush knew that the old rule of waiting to be attacked before waging war was valid only in the old days when nations did the attacking, not now when civilian Islamic fanatics from many different countries were set on killing as many innocent men, women and children as possible.

This is the most important reason for re-electing President Bush and maintaining his philosophy. Senator Kerry's actions indicate that he is not aware of terrorist methods. Kerry's mindset is still back in Vietnam. He is stuck in a 35 year-old mind warp, still trying to negotiate and follow rules of law, understood by nations at war, but laughed at by the Wahabi sect that financed and led the attack on the bloody killing and maiming of hundreds of Russian children.

Was this a two-fold attack? Was one objective attacking vulnerable infidels with ease, a nation which had not set up security precautions as had the USA?

But was the second objective a practice run and lessons to the many sleeper cells set up in the USA by the Wahabis on how to go after American schools? They know that nothing will terrify Americans more than the 9/11 attack except in watching their babies and children being blown apart and shot in the back as they try to escape a nightmare that won't stop --- the same type of nightmare that will live forever in the minds of the Russian children who survived the al Qaeda maelstrom of blood inside their school.

No wonder, Zell Miller is saddened by what has happened to his party. Miller knows that his once great party is now more concerned in gaining power than it is in fighting the terror that will destroy us all. Of course, we want peace. But it is not peace that one gets when under attack by a force of pure evil; it is instant death or a maimed and tortured body and soul. As I said years ago, "Evil can never be appeased; only challenged." To elect appeasers to run our nation is to plan our early demise. Is this what Americans want? Abraham Lincoln said it best when he uttered these words on February 27, 1860, "Let us have faith that right makes might, and in that faith, let us, to the end, dare to do our duty as we understand it."

President Bush might be comforted by another Lincoln statement: "If I were to try to read, much less answer, all the attacks made on me, this shop might as well be closed for any other business. I do the very best I know how - the very best I can; and I mean to keep doing so until the end. If the end brings me out all right, what's said against me won't amount to anything. If the end brings me out wrong, ten angels swearing I was right would make no difference."

As a veteran who has been disabled in a war, I know the value of the necessity of war to establish true peace. I have also learned that peace never comes to those who will not fight to maintain it. God bless America;God bless President George W. Bush.

Let us hope that Russia will fully rally behind our effort against WORLDWIDE TERROR. They would be an excellent ally and also a very strategic partner in the laughable U.N. Let us hope.

Russia doesn't like us, they think we helped the terrorists in that attack as well as elsewhere. We would have to change some policy and quick to gain thier support. They will have to change some policy as well.

I remember when I was active duty under the clinton admin. It was a sad time for the military. I remember all the attacks that went unanswered; for example the USS Cole, Embassy bombing, and Kobar (sp) Towers. Just to name a few, now they messed with a Texan, with the heart of America and he didn't back down. I love W, he is my Hero.
