Muslims must look inward and put a stop to many of our religious leaders who spend most of their sermons teaching hatred, intolerance and violent jihad. We should not be afraid to admit that as Muslims we have a problem with violent extremism. We should not be afraid to admit that so many of our religious leaders belong behind bars and not behind a pulpit. This was featured on FoxNews last night and I did the search to find this today. How refreshing!

Three years late and a few dollars short.
If this movement grows, I might reconsider my opinion of reclassifying "Islam" as a terrorist sect and trying to banish from America ... and the world. And this is from a libertarian who holds all articles in the Bill of Rights in high regard, including the First Amendment.

This is a good first step. And I have prayed to the Good Lord to help keep my heart from being hardened against others who, only until recently, were eerily quiet for the past three years when they should have condemned militant Islam only hours after the first plane struck the World Trade Center.
I fear that, in the hearts of many, this act of contrition may be too little too late.

A lone voice in the hell and horror that is Islam. Watch out for a big ol' f-a-t-w-a coming your way, soon.

ACTIONS, speak louder than words. 3 Years it takes for this lame announcement? No thanks. I don't trust muslims. They give me no reason TO trust them.

Hope this group can get some face time on the tube. The Resources tab on their site looks interesting.

Afraid or not, saying "sorry" or not, is not where the rubber meets the road. What is the author suggesting be DONE about the problems he identifies?

This apology is 1095 days too late. I will never forget...and I will never forgive. There are atrocities that are unforgivable.

How refreshing!
I won't rain on the Muslims who are finally speaking up.
But I'll just pass on my own fallible opinion that they need to learn about
the importance of
1. timing
2. sufficiency
But I can't really blame any good-willed Muslim for being slow and deficient
in speaking up.
It's a sure way to get censured by the wider Islamic community.
If not killed.

If I sounded a bit terse in my previous post...it's because I'm still steaming
over something I heard on radio Wednesday.
That was listening to the spokes-lady of CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations)
hmm-and-haw in trying explain why a two-paragraph "condemnation" of
the Beslan event didn't get on their website until after Labor Day weekend.
This was on The Laura Ingraham radio show.
