Six docs, not 4
Allah is in the House ^ | Sep 11, 2004 | Allah

"UPDATE: Jeff Harrell forwards a link to USA Today's collection of the recently discovered Bush/TANG documents. Funny thing, though: There are six documents here, not four. USA Today has all four of the memos listed in the sidebar for the CBSNews.com article plus two additional documents dated February 2, 1972 and June 24, 1973, respectively. The two new docs have the same font as the other four, and that pesky little raised superscript makes yet another cameo in the June 24th document."

This is first I've heard of the 2 new docs, and they really set off the BS alarm. One from June 1973 is to an unnamed superior and says that Killian and Harris dont' think they should rate Bush - what shoud they do? Oh my, the commander doesn't know how to read the regulation that governs the evaluation of officers not physically present.

In the other - from Februrary 1972 - Killian supposedly writes Harris to say "Keep me up to date on Bush's flight status". Why was this an issue in Feb 72?

Hmmmm.... So CBS had six docs not four.

Seems they didn't really buy the other two. Shouldn't that have made the entire crop suspect?

I think so.

Quick - one of our savy FR's need to "grab" and save the other two new documents before they disappear!

The following are Viacom owned companies. A conservative parent's worst nightmare.

Remember Simon & Schuster who paid Hillary $8 million for her book & CBS did that lovely hatchet job on President Reagan with Mr. Streisand.

It all makes sense.

HOLY SMOKES!!!

There were 6 DOCUMENTS, not 4...

One of the new "new documents" is a (cough) military memo that has no "To" header, just addressed, "Sir" and complains that Killian couldn't "rate" Bush.

It's even more ridiculous than the 4 that CBS did use....

What's up with the slightly speckled outlines around each text block? Didn't see these on the CBS versions.

My paranoid little mind tells me there are more than six.
Dan has many stashed, and I want to see them all. He thinks he's going to drip, drip, drip, with false memos, and that isn't going to happen.

This needs to be killed ASAP.

Just wondering, is CYA a military term or is it referring to "cover your ass?" If the latter, was just wondering when they acronym was coined...

Regarding The "new" June 24 Memo - signature of Killian appears to be "forged" as compared to actual Killian signatures from GWB's ANG records ('i'm no expert - but they are very different)

These are forgeries -- no one would type a memo with one sentence -- they would do it by hand in the Air Force. Also would never hand a Secretary a memo with CYA in the memo -- that would not happen. This was back in the time when they got really annoying with feminism and the guys had to be careful about saying anything.

And for some strange reason they keep putting the signature block in the middle of the memo -- AF Regulations required the signature block to be on the far left side and after Lt Colonel in the signature block there would have been Lt Colonel, TANG, to designate he wasn't regular or reserve AF.

I found an old AF Pamphlet 13-2, 1 November 1973, in our boxes that have been moved around for years on various assignments and I went looking after these came out. It specifically says on page 14 1.c. Dates: 4 June 1974 -- in the Air Force the only time a "0" was put before the date was in a message. All correspondence in those years would have 4 not 04 written.

Hey, and this is important so listen up, you Republicans had better get used to the fact that when it comes to anti-Bush documents, the Kerry organization can produce 4 documents, 6 documents or as many documents as we can fabricate to prove whatever point we want to make. If we want to prove Bush was NEVER in Altanta, never, never, John and I can have 106 documents on Rather's desk by 10:00 AM tomorrow, We can forge any document to say whatever we want to prove!!!
