all of, or most of some major SK city is in range of that armor ... we couldn't hit it fast enough unless there were a series of nuclear strikes ... I can't remember if Seoul is the city but they are basically hostage to that NK artillery.
but I don't believe their cockamamie story about "construction" ... seems a bit hokey, even for them.
I believe the Predator carries two Hellfires and includes a laser designator to paint the targer. Good enough to blow up some terrorists in Yemen. Maaco ain't gonna be able to fix that car with the $229 paint job.
I was kind-of playing in the thread before, but I agree entirely with this. I suspect an accident, or a well-placed sabotage. If it were nuclear (Nucular), I would think that a radiation footprint would have been detected by now.
Seoul Trying to Confirm Report on Koreans Involved in Russian School Attack
Sorry. I don't see the connection with this story.
there are some extremely low-yield weapons used for artillery (so that it doesn't take out your own troops), but I too lean towards sabotage or an accident, major accident at a base.
the Soviet Union suffered a huge accident at or near the Severmorsk sub base in 1984 (IIRC) and it made quite a mess.
that reminds me of a Sam Kinison bit -- if he went into business in Russia, he'd open a pawn shop just down the street from the one McDonalds in Moscow, stand out front, and say, "those burgers sure smell good, don't they? Bring down a car with a pink slip and I'll get you a Happy Meal, c'mon down!"
I had a better idea for making a quick profit. Right after 9/11, there was a huge line to get into the local military base, maybe 2 miles long. Took about an hour to get on base.
This road ran thru an area with no exits, nothing really just road. My idea was to open several coffee stands about a mile to a mile and a half out. The coffee would be free, nice guy that I am.
About a half mile later I thought would be a good place for some portapotties. For these, there would be a charge...
There's an old Charles Addams cartoon, "Refreshing Drink - FREE" and around the corner, "Refreshing Drink Antidote -- $10" (it's an old cartoon).
