Michelle Malkin attacks the mainstream media for continuing to "whitewash" exactly how deadly the Muslim terrorists we face are.

How many times have you picked up a newspaper and read about terrorist attacks perpetrated not by Muslim terrorists, but by generic "militants" or "guerrillas" or "rebels" or, as Mideast scholar Daniel Pipes noted the Pakistan Times called them, "activists"?
Contrast the media whitewashing of our Islamofascist enemies with the press coverage of the Waco, Texas, siege in 1993 — which constantly reminded us that David Koresh and his Branch Davidian followers were members of a "peculiar religious sect" (New York Times, March 3, 1993) and "a group of religious zealots with a known propensity for violence" (Washington Post, March 2, 1993) who were steeped in a "culture of Christian extremism" (San Francisco Chronicle, April 20, 1993).
A Nexis search of the terms "Branch Davidian" and "religious" and "cult" in The New York Times for the year 1993 yielded 151 hits.
The vast majority of these references were in headlines and news articles, as opposed to editorials, letters or book reviews.
A Nexis search of the terms "al-Qaida" and "religious" and "cult" in The New York Times for the year 2004 yielded just one article — a magazine piece in March.
The mainstream media pounded President Bush for trying to explain that the War on Terror is unwinnable in a conventional sense.
The mainstream press itself proves the president's point every time its reporters disguise the deadly fanatical nature of our opponents in this global war.
How are we to win a war against blood-spattered enemies whom our own free press continues to protect through politically correct sanitization? It wasn't no-name militants or wayward guerrillas who have butchered, beheaded and slaughtered thousands of innocents over the last three years alone.
Anniversary reality check:
In the name of Allah, Muslim terrorists in Russia stabbed babies to death, shot toddlers in the back, forced children to eat rose petals and drink their own urine, raped teenage girls, executed their teachers and blew themselves up in a crowded school gymnasium. Death toll: 339.

And just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean...
She forgot it was FOUR planes on 9/11 and she missed the two airplanes, the TU-134 and the TU-154, brought down in Russia just a few weeks ago. This could be a good reason for her to print a followup correction to an otherwise good article.

The truly telling thing is the reluctance of Muslims and Muslim leaders to even decry the horrifying violence commited worldwide by Islamofacists. Except for a perfunctory little statement on the CAIR website last week about the atrocities in Beslan, the silence has been deafening--and telling.
It's not as though Muslim groups don't have access to the media. If one of them gets singled out and wanded at the airport, they run screaming to the nearest warm TV camera. They whine about the evils of the Patriot Act, but they just can't seem to provide any specifics about how their civil rights have been violated.

Too little too late! Where are the leaders denouncing this crap if they claim they are a religion of peace? Where are the marching in the streets, the interviews on talk shows etc.?
It is true the radicals actually committing the violence are a small faction but they have much more sentiment among the nonviolent Muslims then most people believe. Because secretly they are glad their brethren are attacking the west!
Islam is the last hold out among religious zealots willing to die trying to force their religion on others or kill those who don't conform. Christians got over this several hundred years ago. The old testament could be interpreted much like the Koran but it's not anymore, nor used to justify killing those who don't believe as you do. These people need to stand up or suffer the consequence of secretly celebrating their brethren committing the violence!
