I don't think so. First, they didn't think that they'd be caught trying to pawn off the fake documents. Second, how could they have known that the Swift Boat Vets were going to produce new Kerry documents a week later?
Plus...why drag Dan Rather down? Dan's whole career is simply going down the drain...and I doubt that Dan is that stupid.
