I think Rather got the memos from his dealer.

Here's the teensiest tidbit to add on "unbiased" Rather's dogged pursuit of possible W drug use:

RatherOnDrugs

http://www.ratherbiased.com/drugs.htm

"I had someone at the Houston police station shoot me with heroin so I could do a story about it. The experience was a special kind of hell. I came out understanding full well how one could be addicted to 'smack,' and quickly."
--Dan Rather in Ladies' Home Journal, July 1980 edition.

"I've tried everything. I can say to you with confidence, I know a fair amount about LSD. I've never been a social user of any of these things, but my curiosity has carried me into a lot of interesting areas."
--Dan Rather in Ladies' Home Journal, July 1980 edition.

"I got addicted. News, particularly daily news, is more addictive than crack cocaine, more addictive than heroin, more addictive than cigarettes."
--Dan Rather in an interview for Brill's Content, October 1998.

Dan Rather spoke to college students at Boston University who were considering reporting careers:
"Be careful. Journalism is more addictive than crack cocaine. Your life can get out of balance."
--Quoted in the Boston Herald, October 22, 2000.

Thanks for the balanced reporting, Dan.

Could somebody explain how this proves anything? I mean, so the "source" faxed the documents. That doesn't prove they are not real. Look, I'm 100 percent sure they are fakes, but I don't see where this helps the cause. Maybe it's just because it's getting late.

Man this guy must need $$$. Has to go to Kinko's to send a fax?

I'm no Dick Tracy, but I don't think that's the case...it's the anonymity of it - "Conscience of Guilt" as it were.

It was Ann Richards in the Kinko's with the copier.

CLUE!

So that's why when Dan said it was Lt. Col. Killian in the TANG with a Selectric, everyone jumped to disprove it.

This will help CBS's new found rep as being slightly less credible than 'The Inquirer.'

Does Kinkos have a video camera? I wonder if the perp used a credit card? Or if the clerk recognized him/her?

Even better. But the actual document on a disk drive would seal the deal.

Question: How connected is Bill Burckett to the Kerry people? I'm not talking under the table, I mean, does Burkett have any official position in the Kerry Campaign?
