Barack Obama, ask no questions
One small Voice

Posted on 09/16/2004 8:23:02 AM PDT by 1smallVoice

The media will not ask Barack Obama about his childhood in Jakarta, Indonesia where he was raised as a Muslim. I wonder if anyone can find out about his years in Indonesia.

Some questions just can not be asked.

Add to that Je$$e Jack$son's son who owns a Busch beer distributorship in Chicago -- given to them by the Busch family.

There's a lot of 'untold stories' about Osama, oops Obama.

Like the Chi papers refusal to dig into all his out of state trips to raise cash - as in why would Obama be going to places like Missouri, California and such places for cash, when running for Senator of IL.

And why won't the MSM dig into HIS 'carpetbagging'. Heck I have socks older than how long Osama's, oops, did it again, Obama's, been a resident of IL.

Not to mention his ties to the Socialist and Communist parties and other subversive anti-american front groups.

That's why I'm glad that Keyes is running a 'scorched earth' campaign. It's the ONLY way to out this maggot and his extreme 'out-of-the-mainstream' views.

Why does the truth need to be hidden?

When did he denounce Islam? When was he baptised?

What about his cocaine habit, how did he support it while getting honors in Columbia Law school?

I would like to hear from his classmates.

You're missing my point. He was only in Jakarta for a few years as a very small child. He'd moved back stateside before he was 10. What exactly do you think you're going ot find of political use in his past before the age of 10? You're not thinking logically here man.

Where did you get your information?

Hid father and step father were both Muslim. He was raised a Muslim. When did he change? What happened to his mother, why was he raised by her parents? What about his cocaine habit? How did he get into Columbia?

If the truth is hidden does this not bother you?

This is what bothers me in these threads. I've posted good reasons why no one should vote for Obama, including his horrid soft on crime views. However, I can't stomach this BS, it should be beneath freepers. The guy has been in IL for 12 years. That's well beyond the bounds of carpetbagging.

IMHO, if his opponents can't stick to intellectually honest arguments, Obama deserves to win. If we're too damned stupid to attack him on the issues instead of searching for hidden meanings in his surname, dirt in his early childhood in Jakarta, or that idea that he's only been in IL for a little over a decade, we deserve to loose.

Damnit, the guy is so damned corrupt that he sponsored a bill that would require a confession in a capital murder case.

That guy voted against a measure that would have allowed law enforcement to come down on gangs.

Point out that he was THE ONLY SENATOR IN THE ENTIRE STATE ASSEMBLY to vote against a passed measure that denied SEXUAL PREDATORS early release!!!! The man was willing to let sexual predators loose on his constituents!

Hell, if you want to really damn him, point out that HRC's leadership PAC has given him $10,000.

Please, please, please. I emplore all freepers to stop the madness, drop the pettiness, and focus on the important issues. You just make Obama look good, and us look like nuts when you make it about his childhood, his surname, etc.

What happened to his mother, why was he raised by her parents?

Who the hell cares? He was 10 years old. Whatever it was, he was 10 freakin' years old. I totally object to this whole train of thought. We deserve to lose if we oppose Obama in this manner.

He was raised a Muslim. When did he change?

Does it matter? Unless you can prove he didn't change, the timing of his conversion isn't likely to yield any political ammunition. Unfortunately, we have no way to see into the hearts of men, so you can't prove jack.

What about his cocaine habit?

If you can prove he had a cocaine habit, you need to contact the Keyes campaign. They'll love you and fall at your feet for supplying the information. Obama has said he tried cocaine. A lot people, including myself tried cocaine in our youths and never developed a habit or spent any real money on it. You're going on as though you KNOW he had $300 a day habit. Which would be great if you could prove it.

How did he get into Columbia?

How does any kid get into a college? Unless you have a reason to assume that there is something shady about his collegiate entrance, you're just chasing chickens across the yard.

Who the hell cares when he converted to Christianity or even whether he did? If this is your idea of what will win the election for Keyes, you are even more deluded than "Mr. 24% and falling". Can you believe it, your candidate is the choice of only 24% of state voters in the same poll which has Bush approaching 50%. Duh, when are you going to begin to consider this loser is a lost cause. Let him go down the tubes.

With all due respect you missed the semi-sarcasm re: carpetbagging

That being said, 12 years residency doesn't make him 'from' IL. And I'll wager Obama knows just a tad more about IL than Keyes. In fact if one would ask Obama where the "Leaning Tower" was, I BET he'd say Pisa, and not Niles. He probably doesn't know where Cairo is - or how to pronounce it either, let alone the history of Starved Rock or Dixon Mounds. But if he spent time HERE instead of gallivanting all over the USA raising funds from dubious sources - he might.

On 2nd thought, I take it back he IS a carpetbagger. Not to mention a 3rd rate back-bench rep from a 10th rate Chicago district - Dem rising star my patoot. The only reason he got the key-note spot is because the RATS thought IL was a 'gimme'.

What does that make Keyes? Tenth rate idiot from out-of-state? I havent voted for a Dem for Senate since I was young and irresponsible but if given a choice between the Obama presented at the Dem Convention and the Keyes who showed up to campaign in Illinois this year, I would pick Obama. I dont know whether Keyes is a joke or a kook?

While it is certainly true that some questions "can not be asked" (i.e. they're not required), if that was your point, you probably wouldn't have started this thread.

I suspect what you meant was, some questions cannot be asked. (They're not allowed.)

I am campaigning against the stupidity of running people like Keyes and Buchannan for anything, including dog catcher. Unless you people are forced to continually see the stupidity of your actions, you keep supporting the same kooks that havent got a chance in hell of winning.

I could see running the good fight and supporting the guy because you are a Republican and he is the nominee, but to enthusiasticaly support this kook as something he is not (a candidate) is laughable not laudable.

Ryan for all his faults would have ended up winning at least 10-20% more than Keyes. The Keyester has taken a bad situation and found one of the few ways to make it even worse. Congratulations Alan!
