CBS is redoubling efforts to determine if these documents are phony. If so, you'll hear it first from Dan Rather.And that is how it should be. Bob Schieffer

Dear Mr. Schieffer,
I believe you do yeoman's work weekly on your television program.
That being written, I believe that you cannot possibly serve as one of the moderators for the presidential debates.
You are affiliated with an organization that is heavily pushing what every other news organization in America (not right wing ones, but mainstream, The NY Times, the LA Times, ABC News etc...) a set of forged documents to attack the President.
Your organization, CBS, instead of recanting has decided to take the opposite approach and push itself into the abyss.
The only possible answer as to why CBS is doing this, is because of their strong distaste for our President.
CBS has ceased to be liberally biased and has become outright partisan.
If you do not distance yourself from CBS News or speak against their partisan journalism, then you have no place at the moderators table.

Maybe you should paraphrase his response since you posted this thread.
The e-mail response you received from BS is a fake.
I don't think Bob Scheiffer is a bad person. I think he is certainly more credible than Dan Rather. But I don't think he should be a moderator either since he is part of a corrupt news network. Maybe he should think about applying for a job at Fox.
Actually, we've heard it from everyone else first. Dan would be dead last.
How can we hear it first from them if they heard it first from us? Does Buckhead work for CBS?
Shieffer is as phony as the memos are. And what's the point of your post without a copy of Shieffer's e-mail?

I can't believe you got so excited about a canned response that is supposedely from BS. Big deal....
The few lines at the beginning is the sum of the response I recieved back from him.

Big deal? Well it is something because I have sent a few hundred emails in the past few days to sponsors, CBS execs, affiliates, etc and I have recieved two back, a very long and detailed one from Borders and now this one.
Of course it's not just CBS but all the networks who stand accused.
