I'm baffled by some kinds of human behavior. Sometimes all I can say is 'wow.'

For whatever reason, snorting it can lead to sores in the nose, throat and mouth, and injecting it in your butt can lead to sores in there too. Those sores are supposed to be nifty ways of contracting HIV. [Evidently, if you shoot meth-solution up your butt your intestine will absorb it.]

Oh gawd. Well that would explain the HIV connection. Geez. What is WRONG with these people?

Yeesh.
Caffiene is my drug of choice.
*chuckle*
Sounds like the 'bug chasers' are really, shall we say, chemically experimental people?

This sad subset of humanity has a serious death wish.

They seem intent on cleaning the filter on the gene pool.

I've actually read that it does produce like a scarring on the brain, and that scientists are just now learning that it has long term non reversible effects. My hypothesis is that people who've used a lot of speed start acting like they're on it even when they aren't. It isn't an organic drug like marijuana or cocaine, and I think its effect on the body is nastier. Just my observations. I've never even seen the stuff.

Skoz,I think we are from two different generations but I guess the human carnage remains the same.I've seen it all-the smackheads, acid burnoouts, basehead zombies-the whole nine yards.I always have this phrase-"if you want to keep kids off drugs, just let them hang around with dopefiends for awhile"
Worked to perfection for me.I NEVER wanted to descend to the bottom like that!

PHILADELPHIA - Gay men who combine the drugs crystal meth and Viagra run a greater chance of getting sexually transmitted diseases than nonusers, according to a study released on Wednesday.

Figures show men who have sex with other men and use both crystal methamphetamines and the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra were six times more likely to contract syphilis than those who do not use either, a researcher said at a national conference on sexually transmitted disease prevention.

The findings published in Philadelphia come as the use of the two drugs are on the rise among gay men. The use of crystal meth has been highlighted by gay advocates as endemic at bath houses, which have seen a resurgence in recent years after drug cocktails have helped people live with HIV.

With the national incidence of syphilis increasing over the past three years, the San Francisco Department of Public Health study found gay men were at the highest risk of contracting STDs. The gay community has been the focus of prevention efforts by U.S. health care authorities including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

I agree, I have seen a few of my close friends walk down that path, and they don't always come back. For me, I knew what my limits were (smoking some pot and drinking a little) but I had no desire to engage in activities that could be potentially deadly and very addictive.

I guess some people have a destructive personality.

I care. Even the CDC stated that bisexuals were a bridge to heterosexual women for homosexual diseases.

Are you implying that the men who killed Matthew Shepard are somehow indicative of the culture of rural America? I hope not. I have lived in many different places within the U.S....from Virginia to New mexico and up into North Dakota. I can tell you that some of the nicest and well-mannered people I have ever met lived in rural Tennessee.

I know of one...just have to remember where it is. I could just give you the WhiteHouse website info detailing it, but most likely they would call it propoganda and not fact-based.

But the number of gay "crankheads" (If you care to call them that) is increasing, significantly.

"Dunno what Meth would do, haven't heard any rumors or hearsay about meth use during sex."

Never tried Meth, but did some speed during my impetuous youth. Sex was not possible, at least for a guy. (if you know what I mean!)
