Kerry is making the rounds of popular and decidedly nonpolitical television with upcoming interviews on "Dr. Phil," "Live with Regis and Kelly" and "The Late Show with David Letterman."

Is Kerry a New Mexican American?
I suggest Springer.
yeah, he can do the talk show circuits but he still refuses to give interview time to legitmit news reporters. He and his staff are clueless.
Amazing. Maybe he did, but I`ve yet to see this guy appear on anything other than comedy/light-heated TV shows. Gee, I wonder why that is.
Who has the bigger audience?
This is something a candidate does at the beginning of a campaign not at the end.
Dean tried to save his campaign by going on Letterman and it did not work
Kerry's interview with Imus resulted in Imus stating he did not know what Kerry was saying on Iraq.
Appearing on these fluff shows at the end of a campaign makes Kerry appear to be a lightweight, with no substance.
Uh, "decidedly non-political TV shows"...that MUST be a joke! No, Kerry is not a Mexi-Can, he is clearly a Mexi-Can't!!!
Bill O'Reilly (currently major anus-kissing the democrats and CBS) is the toughest (but fair) interviewer in the media.
Kerry goes, Hillary-style, only to mega-softball "interviews." He is not a serious human being, much less a serious candidate. What a total fraud.
Sure hope Dr. Phil knows he has his career riding upon how he treats the mental case.
Perhaps DR. Phil can make sense of Kerry's 911 positions on Iraq. "So Mr. Kerry, were you a bed wetter when you were young?"
It is a good idea. Bush should do something similar if it is effective...but remember, this is Kerry
While I think his staff is clueless, this is one of the better things they are doing. Keep him away from the real media who face a professional obligation to ask the really obvious, and hurtful to the campaign, questions. Keep him in the public eye with the soft media. The key to their strategy is to let the media carry the water for them. This is strategically 'intelligent' as far as dealing with an incompetent and deeply flawed liberal candidate.
Letterman has become a Democrat shill during the last four or five years. I can't watch him anymore.
Leno is only slightly better.
Mostly now, if I'm even up that late, I watch re-runs of King of the Hill and Frasier and skip these two pretenders to Johnny's throne.
Any slip by Bush will be head line news the next day. Meanwhile, Kerry will be yuking it up with Phil. I still say that the programs that Kerry is targeting are the uneductated undecideds. I suspect there are more of them then us.
Thanks for the warning!
THe O'Rielly interview..nice. Bush will get more viewers there, and at first I thought this Dr Phil a good idea, but then I remembered, this is Kerry. Still something to worry about.
Imagine the fact that Kerry is hiding from the press during a campaign, imagine what he would do if he was president! How can Kerry even debate Bush when he won't even talk to the press?
He is going to go on those fluff-stuff morning sappy talk shows and lie his a$$ off and nobody on those shows will hold him to any standard of fact. It's not what they do! They make a living out of parading idiots in front of fools, no reason to eliminate both your audience and your guest pool by making it real!
Bush is going on Oreilly. Much harder interview then those forums Kerry will be on. It does give him exposure but at what cost? Kerry being on a talk show is not impressive being asked flowery questions.. ya won't hear "Mr Kerry, why did you burn down those villages?"
Isn't letterment on CBS ? =X
