The funny thing about this whole episode is that the more I read about even this time in GWB's life.. the more I am impressed and like him. Several folks have put together a very reasonable explaination of this time in GW's life.

He got shot down to go to Vietnam. Kerry and his ilk were making it hell to be even in the Guard and the war was winding down. George decided to get on with life like so many others.. Still, he did good. Nothing to be ashamed of. Thats why he isn't. Folks in the Democrat party just cannot accept or believe other folks don't move on to something else without seriously screwing up.

A lot of pilots we knew, back in the day as they say, were a little on the wild side. They could be reckless at times, but those are qualities that are actually needed to be good pilots. Not reckless without restraint, but willing to take risks--some would say calculated risks. I doubt that our President was any different, except that he had the "right stuff" to go on to be President one day.

I halfway expect the next "revelation" to be on the order of, "I saw him cut off little Jillie's ponytail in the 3rd grade!"
