Thanks for the ping!
As one of the vets at the Kerry Lied Rally said, "Veterans Day is on November 2nd this year!"
Good chant, but it's "Hey, hey, ho, ho".
1,000+ in one week. Now the "quagmire" brigad has lowered the standard for "unwinable" to 1000+ in one year.
Each of those 1,000+ was a loss of a comrade, but put in comparison to the 2,500 or so in the first day of the Normandy Invasion, or 1,000 in the first of Tet '68, leads to some perspective on the magnitude of things. And remember the Communist Vietnamese never attacked the US, the Jihadies did, and Iraq was helping and financing at least some of them. Maybe not the very ones who attacked us, but maybe so. Records of such things are usually not kept, or are easily destroyed. BTW, has anyone seen any figures, even WAGs, on how many Jihadies eliminated in Iraq and Afghanistan that won't be coming here to try for a repeat performance?
I doubt it because these guys seem mostly concerned with Kerry being C-in_C. That said, it would be wonderful to see them get him booted out of the Senate, and I bet they could make it happen. Certainly they could turn his next Senate election if the GOP has put up a good candidate.
Also, I think one of the jobs Generation X needs to perform is correcting the horrible smear job that the crappy Boomers perpetrated on the valorous Boomers.
angkor hasn't created an about page.
Angkor won't be doing that.

Well it's swell of you to post for him/her.
LOL!
Could I ask what your bloody point is?
And you can bet that every time Voice of the Martyrs reports another atrocity against Christians in Vietnam, like the recent wave of church demolitions or the trick where they put pastors in labor camps and ruin their kidneys with sandy rice, I will think of Hanoi John.
Truly and sincerely - I don't want to appear to be mean. I'm not, really.
Get to know the Vietnam Veterans around here.
In my home town, the Vietnam vets were included in the homecoming parade for the Desert Storm vets. There was one WW-I vet riding in a limo, a bunch of WW-II and Korean War guys, a bigger bunch of Vietnam vets and of course the local ArNG unit that the parade was ostensibly for. The VN vets got the most enthusiastic applause as they marched by. The DS vets' was longer, but there were more of them so it took longer for them to pass by any given point on the route.
He's not close, he's there. He's admitted negotiating with the enemies of the United States, then coming back and giving them aide and comfort by trying to get the US to accede to their demands. That's all it takes, that and two witnesses to the act. There were thousands.
If you have been here that long and doon't understand what a home page is...well that says something; don't it.
It don't matter how long has been around. It matters more, I think, how well someone can naviagate.
I read that many of the large number of Vietnamese refugees in Los Angeles traveled to Washington DC to participate in the "Kerry lied" rally. They hate him with a passion, because they understand perhaps even more than people in the US, how much Kerry really helped the communists, when he spouted and gave credibility to their anti-war, anti-US propaganda.
JLO, I've spent more time living with the Vietnamese than you'll ever imagine. I speak and understand Vietnamese. I eat pho ga and nuoc mam every day. I've had slap-down drag-outs with more than one Vietnamese bureaucrat (one is now in jail for 20 years, the baby-selling bastard, look it up on the Internet).
My wife spent 25 years on the Delta, and I've spent months living with her family, in Chau Phu and Can Tho and Saigon.
Believe me JLO, I know sh**loads of Vietnam veterans, and many of them happen to be my family, my brothers, my pals. They also happen to be South Vietnamese, both in the U.S. and in Vietnam, now.
What the he&& are you looking for, dude? What's your da&&ed problem?
BTTT
Perhaps angkor has other reasons not to create a "homepage". Reasons that are either beyond your ability to understand, or personal, or privacy-related, or whatever.
So what if you crossed your fingers when shaking the hideous beast's hand. You still touched it. You must be a demonrat operative, because you created a homepage just to showcase the event.
See how it works?
Well, as you wanted to jump on in this thread...and I don't know you as a Vietnam Veteran, let alone a supporter of them....
I don't HAVE to have a 'bloody point' as a Brit may put it. Like YOU said.
I am quite familiar with the concept of a homepage.
I asked what your bloody point was.
You still haven't told me.
