Rather Ambushed at Dallas Airport; Anchor Bashes Fox September 18, 2004 15:34:06 EDT Fox News has reported that Dan Rather received the "60 Minutes treatment" when he was confronted by a local Dallas TV reporter.
Rather has flown to Dallas apparently to help his CBS people in Dallas get their stories straight and bolster their defense. More and more media organizations are picking apart Rather's claims, as more is uncovered about the Texas Democrats who seem to have originated the story.
The reporter, from the local Fox affiliate, asked Rather if he felt he was duped. Rather shot back, "Do you feel like you were duped -- working for Fox like you do?"

Dan Rather's search for the truth (so he can break THAT story, too), can be compared (unfavorably) to this scene from
"PeeWee Herman's Big Adventure"
Police Woman: What exactly led you to believe the Soviets were involved?
Pee-wee: Well...I know that the...
Police Woman: Let me be honest. Hundreds of bikes are stolen every month. Very few of them are ever recovered. We just don't have the resources.
Pee-wee: You're saying you can't do anything. My bike means everything to me. I knew the police wouldn't help.
Police Woman: Do you know what I would do if I were you?
Pee-wee: What?
Police Woman: I'd retrace my steps.
Pee-wee: I parked my bike and when I came back, it was gone.
Police Woman: Well, can you think of anyone who wanted to take it?
Pee-wee: Everyone wanted my bike. This morning, right before it got stolen, Francis offered...FRANCIS!!
Pee-wee runs straight over to Francis's mansion and knocks on the door. ///////
replace Francis' name with.....?????? HILLARY!!!!
Contrast this with Burkett's purported remark that when he contacted the DNC about these "documents," they were "afraid to use them." Sounds like these democrats can't their stories straight. This is why criminal conspirators are interrogated in separate rooms.
And they could stock a Football Jersey with the number
'47' on it. For the famous post #47.
The post that exposed dan rather.

The FOX guy should have come back and said "No sir, FOX doesn't go with forged documents"
I love it! Dan Rather has the camera crews running up to him with the bright lights and shouting the questions! Is this Karma, Irony and Revenge all rolled into one?
Although the other networks have initially given it some coverage my guess is that Fox (and perhaps PMSNBC) are the only networks that continue to give this a lot of air time.
I have not watched all the MSM channels however I did suffer through 2 hours of CNN a few days ago and not once was Rathergate mentioned.
Dan hopes that this story fades away and Fox is not playing fair in his opinion.
I'd've loved it if the Fox guy had said, "I look forward to many professionally rewarding years at Fox, Dan. Do you see yourself as welcome at the SeeBS anchor desk after your forged document story has fully been explored?"
HF
This was likely taken out of context. When the reporter said "No, I like Fox," Dan probably then said "Good. Could you put a word in for me there? I think I'll be looking for work soon."
Yeah, or like someone with life-long presidential ambitions going out of his way to fabricate at least two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for valor, lying about being in Cambodia on secret missions, etc., etc.
There is a bunny ears version, then again there are different versions of everything about Kerry.
A fraudulent newsguy named Rather
Had worked the Net into a lather
What the FReepers would find
Kicked him in the behind
And now no one watches his blather
Wish we knew when his return flight was.....maybe a couple of subtle signs like "Stay out of Texas" - "Don't Mess With Texas"?
I have really got to get some cool friends like you for a neighbor sauropod. The trouble we could get into. LOL..
