CBS still hasn't come clean. They refuse to use the word forgery, because that would mean illegality and then they would have to come clean about everything. So they simply say they can't verify the source.
Second, they named Burkett, but they also say he gave them a list of people who passed him the docs, and only lied about one name....okay, so they need to list all the names he gave them.
Third, Rather thinks that while he has everyone talking about Mapes he can tiptoe out the back door...Rather was the one on TV insisting he was sure about the source so clearly he knew everything.
Forth, jess FR is getting so crowded it isn't worth posting any more because it just gets buried.

The working relationship between the DNC and the MSM has been going on for so long, gotten so deep, and become so inter-dependent that they don't even realize what they are doing is unethical at minimum. So much can be proven illegal if aggressively pursued. This won't stop with these groups if enough birds start singing quickly. Unions, universities (they have lots of $$$) are all in jeopardy.

Overall, it was a pretty good show. I hate that former CBS exec. He takes us for fools. Of course, ideology played a roll in the rush to cover this story.
Burkett obviously wanted to become a player. He thought this was his in. The Dems used him and then kicked him to the curb. They will now reap the whirlwind.

I think you may be right about part of this. I don't know about the drug use and rape but I suspect they were trying to force Bush to talk and then catch him in a supposed lie based on the fake documents. The best laid plans........
