I said it last week: this is their Watergate.

You just have to love the irony. Watergate broke because of a "third rate burglary." Rathergate's breaking because of a third rate forgery. I hope Tricky Dick's ghost haunts Rather for the rest of his life like Marley's ghost tormented Scrooge.

"While he had initially said he got them from another former guardsman, people at CBS said, he then told them that the documents came through a convoluted process that started with a phone call from a stranger and ended with the handoff of an envelope at the Houston Livestock Show, that city's version of Mardi Gras."

To be completely accurate, he got the phone call from a stranger and someone who he may or may not have known gave him the docs at a livestock show. Sounds more like an X-Files episode to me.

Hello,

Great points, none of us should forget that this is simply the latest in the parade of hits by the Old Media. I can't truly (as a MO girl) understand your feelings about living so close to Ground Zero, nor would I ever try. You have my prayers and thoughts each and every day.

I also think that staying angry (not in a Dem / thug way) is a good thing. WE, for too long, accepted that this kind of behavior was "to be", not something that would ever stop. But only get worse. Maybe, we will be vindicated. We shall see...

Glad to be here, and I am glad you are too, MOgirl

Now, now, you two. It's not nice to wish suicide on anyone or any group--especially when DUmmies think with their feelings, not with their brains. We're supposed to be compassionate conservatives, remember? ;)

Gee, just last week, the DUmmies were crooning their love for Dan "the DNC man" Rather who was going to stand tall and prove, once and for all, that the docs were legit!

How things change...

USA TODAY has a copy of the phony documents, as well as two more, also likely phony.

Yes the other two are actually worse that the 4 pushed by CBS - apparently that's why CBS did not attempt to use them

Now that you mention Berger, I wonder if all of this is connected to his documents down the pants trick? It is really starting to look like RICO time to me.

Thanx! I think I actually read that thread, before I didn't read it, but I didn't see the mockery start up. :-)

A Rumsfeld/Ashcroft ticket will get these liberals into a rage for sure but I think a Jeb Bush presidency will literally put some of these DUers into straitjackets.

See, now that was such a quiet and unassuming post; maybe didn't get noticed by many people. But it was one of the funniest (and most insightful) I've read yet. Good job!

That's a perfect summary. That he doesn't say he did not know the folks who made the handoff is pregnant with possiblities.

Yup. That's it. All duded up as the sweetheart of the rodeo. Or maybe he looked cool--kind of like John Travolta in Urban Cowboy. "I am just another one of the regular cowboys. Pay no notice to the soft cowboy with the phony bolo tie carrying an envelope sneaking around behind the curtain."

Or "I'm not a bad man. Just a very bad spy."
