I realize that he didn't apologize to President Bush. Neither has Tom Harkin. Both of them owe a direct and very public apology to the President, IMO.

This is just an excuse for CBS to give Burkett a big pile of money to keep his mouth shut.Or it's an excuse for all concerned to zip their mouths shut on the grounds that they're parties to an ongoing legal proceeding. A lawsuit could simply freeze everything until November, then be quickly settled after the election.

Bet Miss Marple has nailed it...a glob of money to keep Beckett's mouth shut..hope it is a HUGE AMOUNT!
But then...Since dan rather and his buddy's (geeeeeeeez...three limos greet them at the airport? LOL I have a high suspicion that CBS, Mapes and the DNC cabal DID approach Beckett, and since Dan actually made the trip there, he could say, as he did, in agreement with Beckett, that ' Yes, we came to you'. Thus focusing on Dan's trip there in that moment, but covering the slew of other approaches they have made to set up Beckett as their original 'unimpeachable' source. LOL!
Oh what a wicked web CBS wove in their hatred of President Bush...
And as we uncover EXACTLY HOW KERRY got his discharge...it is ONLY going to get stickier.
