KERRY'S TESTIMONY IN 1971
Kerry's testimony before the Fulbright Committee on April 22, 1971

"We will not quickly join those who march on Veterans Day waving small flags, calling to memory thousands who died for the 'greater glory of the United States.' We will nto accept the rhetoric. We will not readily join the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars - in fact, we will find it hard to join anything at all and when we do, we will demand relevancy such as other organizations have recently been unable to provide. We will not take solace from the creation of monuments or the naming of parks after a select few of the thousands of dead Americans and Vietnamese. We will not uphold the traditions which decorously memorialize that which is base and grim"

How could the Vets and the Legion even let this traiterous slimeball show his numerous faces at their conventions, let alone to have him speak and babble to them with his forked tongue?!!!

Actually, Fulbright loved Kerry! Fulbright had communist ties and the war protesters fit right in with his agenda. Back then, there were journalists, like William Buckley, who had his number and wrote about. The liberals, of course, won on emotion but they were short on common sense.

Someone on FR had a short list of William Fulbright connections, and it might be a good idea to repost it; the connections running back and forth to the young Clinton, Kerry, etc. make Fulbright look like the nation's socialist switchboard operator.

"Hello, Bill? This is Walter. Would you... oh, I'm fine... they're fine, too... yes, I'm still telling the proletariat what to think. Say, Bill, will you connect me with Fidel over at the diner?"
