It is plain, for those who really look. However, the country is full of people as insane as he is--frothing at the mouth, wild-eyed, frantically insane. They sign up here for short times as trolls, they populate boards like DU, they show up on talking head shows...heck, they marry candidates and give them their millions. To those people, Kerry looks more like them, so they vote for him.
