Anybody with a laptop and (normally) a cable/DSL connection might want to use an AOL or other dial-up "free" now while you have power - later - assuming you have phone service you may be able to get net access when cable/dsl users are in the dark. Critical email and FReeping could be a lifeline!

Critical email and FReeping could be a lifeline! Why do you assume DSL will die during the storm? We lost power for a week because of frances but never lost DSL. The only way DSL will die is if the phone company locations loose power. If that happens, then there are bigger problems to worry about.
