Beheading the Monsters: Righteous Terror

Posted on 09/25/2004 5:40:11 AM PDT by politicalmerc

Once again we have watched as men who are simply going about their business working to make Iraq a better place have been captured, held as pawns, and slaughtered like animals on the world stage. America, for all of our bad press, is a kind and gentle nation who spends a great deal of time questioning our own actions. It is time to question our willingness to fight and kill.

No peace loving nation should ever fear the United States. We are always first in line to donate our time, money, energy and blood to the poorest and weakest in the world. No major disaster or relief effort in the world exists without our money and effort. However, there is a line where kindness is mistaken for weakness, and there is a time where rougues in the world should be in fear of what we might do.

As I watched dead American soldiers in Somalia being dragged by the crowds I thought: Our reaction should leave any country in the world terrified to treat our troops with such disrespect.

As I watched 9/11 I rejoiced that we had a Man, President Bush, who would not just react but punish those responsible, punish them with death, not words and meaningless attacks.

As I watch these dogs who captured and beheaded innocent men because they are American or British I feel a righteous indignation. We need to strike terror into the heart and soul of those who might be attracted to this group and might want to join them in hurting us. This is not a time for words or diplomacy. Sometimes the preservation of civility requires the use of ferocity. We need to Kill those responsible for the slaughter of these men.

I am not suggesting that we retaliate over here, but I am saying as a nation we should show the rouges of the world that we can be vicious when protecting ourselves. When a poisonous snake bites a family member, you don't talk to it, you don't call your neighbors and schedule an intervention, you get a hoe and hack off its head and pour gas in his hole and burn out its nest.

I don't mean to sound too full of testosterone but it is time to get midevil with these dogs. Sometimes evil should be terrorized by good.

And you don't spend time dithering about what you could have done differently to make the snake not hate you. As you say, you exterminate the snake. Worry about the fine points later.

Yeah. Well. Apparantly you haven't gotten the memo from John Kerry. This is all America's fault. Well, actually it's all George W. Bush's fault, but that makes it America's fault because George Bush was born in America.

And if an Mexican or Guatamalan or Ecuadorian peasant drops dead of sun-stroke in the desert as he sneaks across the border into Arizona, that's America's fault. And if a Palestinian teen-ager blows herself up and in the process takes three or four teenage Israeli soldiers with her, that's America's fault as well.

Here's what we should do, load up about twenty C-17's with rose pedals and dump them over whatever city these bastards are in.

Included in with the rose pedals are leaflets telling the locals that unless they hand over the terrorists the next flight over the neighborhood will be from B-52s loaded for bear with as many bombs as there were rose pedals and give them a week to decide their own fate.

Then if we don't have the terrorists by the end of the week we wipe that city from the map permanantly. On their way out of the city we interview and fingerprint every last person that leaves, all possibles are arrested on the spot.

once that is done we repeat the process where ever any terrorists operate.

Sounds a little over dramatic doesn't it? a bit too nnnniiiiicccccee!

Consider the psychological effects of tons of rose pedals raining down from the sky in a land that rarely sees that type of flower. It would say the americans can do anything and will do anything they need to do to stop the violence and end the terror.

That's how you send a message.

One man, Craig R. Smith wrote what I've been saying since the 4 contractors were strung up on the bridge in Fallujah:

"It would say the americans can do anything and will do anything they need to do to stop the violence and end the terror."

I keep hearing some of the military analysts say that the only thing they respect in the Islamic world is brute force. I agree with what you've said here. We need to visit Hell upon them. We need the Islamic world to view a scene of utter annihilation of those who will not choose to lay down their arms and help us help them establish their country. This, to me, is clear communication in war-time. Up till now, we have not clearly (enough) communicated to our enemy that his day is drawing to a close. Make an example of Fallujah. Do it, say, on Monday, with the promise of Najaf by Friday, then...(insert city name here). Set up a schedule. Close off the cities, then post the schedule all around Iraq and the Muslim world. Do heavy leafletting in and around the targeted cities, announcing the schedule, laying down terms of surrender (terrorists will be executed--there is no surrender for them). Then, carry out the mission.

We must not let a single drop of blood of one more of our precious soldiers (our sons, our daughters) fall without there being a swift, lethal, EXTENSIVE response.

The lessons of Hiroshim and Nagasaki are there to learn from. As a result of 500,000-700,000 dying, over a million and a half people who would have otherwise joined them in death lived. This is harsh. This is brutal. This is war. I'm not wishing that any should die. Give them a chance to come over from "the dark side". Then level Fallujah.

Rose petals? Nonsense.

Go straight to "...wipe the city from the map...".

Think about it. It only took 2 atomic bombs and a Dresden-type fire-bombing of Tokyo to gain an unconditional surrender from the EMPIRE of Japan.

America has become 2 countries over the past 80 years or so. We have undergoe a re-engineering of the American Spirit which has replaced the high ideals of God and country, hard work and sacrifice, duty and honor with Government is god, socialism and self-centeredness, multiculturalism and shame. Many have been thoroughly indoctrinated into the new thinking as our institutions have been taken over by socialist-marxist thinkers who have re-written our history, replaced our values--desecrated the temple, so to speak.

One of the things we hear over and over again from the Left is the idea that dissent is patriotic, protesst is the highest form of free-speech (never mind voting), being opposed to the war (and voicing this while troops are on the battlefield) is not unpatriotic. Well, I'm sick of this. Not only is it un-patriotic, it is borderline treason (Yes, I said treason!). The time to discuss, debate, disagree is before the war action is undertaken (or after it is concluded). Once it begins, it is time to keep all voices in unison (if the trumpeter sounds uncertain, how shall the troops charge into battle?"). But the Left is unable to hold its tongue (how like a child). They protest, they chant, they 'go wobbly', they vacillate, they equivocate. They shudder. The Left is comprised, in my opinion, of a vast sea of immature children, who are morally blind or morally coward, who fear, that aggressive action might come back to hurt them, so are never willing to stand for what they believe (however threatened their way of life may become--better red than dead). These folks will not stand up for anything. These folks fail the true American test time and time again. They haven't the Spirit that gave birth to this country, a Spirit of LOVE--love of liberty, love of freedom. It is a love that necessarily gives rise to devotion, honor, sacrifice (when needed). It does this because, in the end, freedom and liberty are the inalienable rights of all men, all people granted to us by our Creator (here is another area where the socialist/marxist/leftist falls down--but that's a discussion for another day). Love of and devotion to freedom and liberty moves the possesser to action--he cannot sit by while those that he loves are under attack. He can do nothing else but act when he senses freedom itself is jeopardized. This is the American Spirit. This is what is lacking in so many in America today. This is why we are divided. This is why we fight.

It's a two pronged attack, first you set the stage and let them know what it going to happen, then you follow thru with the actual attack.

It would send ripples of warning across Iraq and in the end would mean less bloodshed amoung innocents.

We should only want to kill the terrorists, killing those people that have nothing to do with them doesn't help us one bit.

My way we send the message that we know that the terrorists are there and if those people near by don't give them up you will die with them.

Your way, no one knows in advance and the people we want to help us, suffer and die as well.

We have enough power to be benevolent, it's time we used it to our advange.
