Well, I skimmed that article lightly and responded with a post that incorrectly disparaged Vasquez. I had it removed.

It appears his efforts are on the up and up, and I didn't want to show disrespect for that.

"They are providing services, doing jobs our citizens won't do," Goodenough said.

Aways left unsaid: "... for that amount of money." These same illegal immigrant supporters are the first ones to complain about "outsourcing" when jobs are sent outside the US. Well, hiring illegals is just outsourcing by bringing low-cost foreign labor here instead of sending the jobs to them. The jobs are still gone as far as US citizens are concerned, but we also get stuck with the social and infrastructure costs of a flood of illegals.

The effort is being championed by Robert Vasquez, the Canyon County Commissioner who recently tried to invoice the government of Mexico $2 million for reimbursement of jail and medical treatment costs of that country's citizens.

Mexico SHOULD pay the billions of dollars illegal aliens are costing us to medicate them. No one will deport them, so let Mexico pay its bills.

"If welfare wasn't more attractive than working, Americans would fill these jobs.

You're correct. We'd have no need, not that I do, for illegal immigrants if we did not have welfare.

Morales said Vasquez's "extreme ideas" are not represented by the vast majority of Idaho residents.

But Vasquez's "extreme ideas" will prevail. Once this election is over, no matter who wins, America will be taken over by illegals, with the blessing of the new President. Get ready to pay through the nose to give them good health care, while American citizens will be shoved into the loony bins of the hospitals.
