PRESIDENT BUSH NEEDS TO WACK KERRY ON THIS IN THE DEBATE. Tell him that kissing up to anti-American leaders like Chirac while insulting Allawi and the leaders of our coalition is not statesmanship; it's reprehensible foolishness.

"Kerry speaks a great deal about the need to strengthen relationships with our allies. How does personally insulting the Prime Minister of Iraq and suggesting that his country should have been left to writhe under Saddam’s heel help in this regard? How does calling America’s allies “window dressing” and “a coalition of the coerced and the bribed” help?"

This is an example of the diplomacy Kery would use in order to get more allies to support our cause.

Two days later, Kerry said, "The invasion of Iraq was a profound diversion from the battle against our greatest enemy -- al-Qaida."

Was that before or after he asserted that terrorists were pouring into Iraq in order to confront Americans?

This is exactly what I have said. Kerry talks about allies, but when someone really needs us they aren't "good enough" to be our friends. If they are under attack, they don't deserve help because they "don't understand democracy."

If it were true that the Iraqis didn't understand democracy, then the terrorists would just lay low and wait for us to leave. Then they would make their move. They are acting now because they are afraid that once the Iraqis vote it will be too late. Even the terrorists understand democracy!

Kerry trashed the S. Vietnamese by saying they were drunks who shot at him. He called te S. Vietnamese leaders corrupt but never noted the bloody purges in the North. He made false allegations about rroutine war crimes by American soldiers. He parroted all the communist propaganda of the time.

The truth is that he isn't going to get the Russians, French or Germans on board in Iraq. They were getting money from the Oil for Food program. Saddam's corruption served them. The slavery and degredation of the Iraqi people served them.

IMHO...Allawi is a better man, friend, ally and defender of liberty than Kerry or any living RAT.

I'll take the Brits, Italians, Poles, (and Aussies) any day over the three aforementioned.

Perceptions of success in Iraq is the real war.

AND THE LEFT IS WINNING THE WAR OF PERCEPTIONS IN IRAQ.

Think about it.

Very few of us will ever visit Iraq, meet an Iraqi or even a soldier with first-hand information.

Everything we, and the world, know about this war, is filtered through the media.

The Left know this all to well, and have engaged Michael Moore, AP, AFP, CBS, NYT, Reuters, MTV, etc. to claim we are losing.

In rebuttal, where the hell is the White House Public Relations team? Where are the CIA psyops teams?

We need a major change in tactics.

We need to invest major resources into to winning the war of perceptions in Iraq.

The benefits?

1. Strengthen American resolve. Who doesn't want to be on the winning team? Who doesn't love hearing about the frequent and ruthless killing of terrorist leaders? Who doesn't love watching military videos with imploding terrorists? Who doesn't love seeing Iraqi children going to school, giving flowers and kissing soldiers? The recent images out of Iraq are predominantly Abu Ghraib torture, burning Humvees and beheadings. Time to turn Iraq into the American GI Dance Revue, Oprah and John Wayne. SHOW IT.

2. Weaken terrorist resolve. Their weak communication links make them heavily dependent on outside news. Inundate them with bad stuff. Sabotage and infiltrate Al Jazeera. CONTROL IT.

3. Strengthen Iraqi resolve. The fence-sitters will move positively toward peaceful goals only when they know the resistance is defeated. They are easily influenced by primitive propaganda. USE IT.

4. Strengthen World resolve. The envious Euroweasels are looking to knock us down and leading the assault at the UN. Start applying financial and political muscle to tie support of America to continuing support of our efforts. Money Talks. SPEND IT.

5. Preempt Future Conflicts. Early images of American fighter jets and precision munitions targeting scared the daylights out of foreign leaders in countries like Libya. Time to ramp it up again, and demonstrate to the world that American military might is invincible. FLAUNT IT.

Don't get me wrong, never in a million years could I conceive of a Kerry presidency, but when he was walking on eggshells to minimize he contradictions, he was somewhat tolerable.

Now, this guy has confirmed that he has no moral courage and has begun to say or do whatever it takes to pander to the far left. My blood pressure rises every time I see him on TV. His campaign is truly in its death throws and don't be surprised if the Democrats start cutting him off to try and safe some Senate and Congressional races.

Kerry is as typical of a left-wing liberal as they come. He has not changed since his Vietnam-protesting days.

The old formula (which he still follows) is: treat your allies like enemies, treat neutrals as friends, and your enemies as if they were neutrals.

A good shrink could probably figure out what is going on here: that denigrating an ally like Allawi is an indirect way of turning against your own country without directly appearing to do so. At its base, the motive is anti-American.

Do I impune Kerry's patriotism? If I could find any sign of patriotism in him, I would (indeed) impune it.
