Debate Ticket Information

September 28, 2004

The Commission has received many requests for tickets to attend each of the debates. We are very pleased with the great interest the public has demonstrated in these debates. Please keep in mind that the debates are primarily intended for the television viewing audience and the seating available in the debate halls themselves is very limited. The demand for tickets far exceeds the supply for each debate. If you have not been contacted already concerning tickets, we will be unable to accommodate your request for tickets. We thank you for interest in the debates.

If a party bigwig hasn't offered you a ticket to this political Super Bowl...well, there's always the boob tube (sorry, no halftime show).

Yes, but would live(?)Kerry say something like: "I'll return after the following messages" during the actual debate?

If you get a ticket better bring a fan. The air conditioning might not be up full, given the fact that starting yesterday, a portion of the power serving University of Miami campus was reallocated to hurricane hit areas in the northern part of the state.

The unavailability of tickets for ordinary citizens makes me wonder why they bother to hold these debates in "geographically diverse" locations.

If Joe Sixpack's only choice is to watch them on TV, then why not just hold all the debates in Washington DC ?
