Obama is spending very little time in IL. He's running from all but two debates. He has not been able to drive a message. He spent all his money building name ID, and now he and his cohorts think it's over.
The Dems are complacent.
Let's take advantage of that.
Just don't tell 'em...shhhhhh....
;-)
Barack Obama IS the most liberal member of the Illinois Legislature.
If elected, Barack Obama WOULD BE the most liberal member of the United States Senate; to the Left of Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy and John Kerry.
But you have a great alternative.
Ambassador Alan Keyes is a seasoned statesman. He is highly respected on Capitol Hill. When he speaks, Senators and Congressmen listen.
Alan Keyes has worked for years to build a national constituency of conscience which will help make him a highly effective advocate for the State and the people of Illinois in the Senate.
Alan Keyes will be a force to be reckoned with in the areas of fundamental tax reform, the elimination of government waste, and in promoting economic prosperity and job growth.
Alan Keyes is a highly regarded expert on foreign policy, defense, security and intelligence matters. He is known and respected by world leaders. What could be more important in this time when we must fight the worldwide War on Terror?
And finally, Alan Keyes is fully committed to the long-term project of reforming politics and government in Illinois.

Not a single ballot has yet been cast.
We are still registering Bush/Keyes voters.
With your help, Alan Keyes can win!

PS...I don't care where you live in the country. If you want to help change Illinois and defeat the socialist Obama, I have something for you to do. EV
I hope Keyes can pay off his campaign debt.
You ain't seen nothin' yet.
This campaign is just starting.
What do you care? Does he owe you money?
Heh..
Just starting? Is this for 2004 or 2008?
Here to despoil another thread?
I'm thinking about writing in Rauschenburger.
I don't like Obama one bit, but Keyes just isn't going to win.
Enjoy your Obama vote, then....'cause that's all your plan accomplishes.
Instead, why don't you fight?
Another thread posted here said that the kerry campaign has tapped Obama to try to sell kerry to black voters. He has been to speak in some of the battleground states.
I assume that means Obama is confident that he has the race in Illinois sewed up. He probably does, although maybe some advantage might be taken of his absence.
A 51 point lead in the latest Chicago Tribune poll will do that.
I have to wonder why you and 1smallvoice are permitted to post short, unsourced vanity after vanity on the Keyes campaign. Typically, threads like this are pulled or moved to "Chat" or "Bloggers". What did you say here that couldn't just as well be said in a reply to an existing news thread?
Do you know the old adage of what the definition of insanity is?
INSANITY: DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN, BUT
EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS.
Maybe Keyes needs to take a look at his succeses/failures and tweak it a bit.
Who has the other 49? Got a link?
p.s. I agree with your "vanity" sentiment.
Keyes never had a shot. I've said it from day 1. His carpet bagger comment about Hillary's NY Senate run was all that was needed by the Dems, even if the race had been competitive at the outset. It was a waste to use a great man such as Keyes the way the IL GOP used him. As an outsider looking in, the IL GOP appears to need a complete overhaul. They are absolutely worthless.
Fight for what? A guy who is struggling to keep his head above 30% in the polls?
If by some miracle the race looks tight by November I'll vote for Keyes, but I just don't see it happening.
It was in fun, in response to the other thread that was running mentioning Osama in Pakistan.
Most FReepers enjoy having fun, ya know...
Why do you have to be such a wet blanket, especially since while having fun we can promote a positive agenda for electing a conservative and defeating the worst socialist Senate candidate in history?
Whose side are you on?
Ah...a fair-weather friend...
We are doing the hard work of rebuilding.
Why don't you pitch in?
It would be a vote for GOP control of the Senate, not a vote in favor of Keyes.
Important ping...
Time to fight for this.
