I was willing to give Dan Rather and the CBS Evening News a pass on the whole forged documents scandal until last night. While even my preteen kids were asking if Dan Rather worked for the Kerry Campaign I said it must be a mistake. Well I was wrong.

Here is the letter I have sent to all of the CBS Affiliates.

As your station contributes regularly to America’s oldest 527group, CBS News, I feel it is appropriate for me to express my outrage to you personally.

I was willing to give Dan Rather and the CBS Evening News a pass on the whole forged documents scandal until last night. While even my preteen kids were asking if Dan Rather worked for the Kerry Campaign I said it must be a mistake. Well I was wrong.

Last night CBS, for the second time in less than a month, relied on phony documents as the basis of an evening news story. The email that was presented during the story has been debunked by several organizations as an Urban Myth and not even the Democratic National Committee believed it to be credible enough to give it any air time. CBS on the other hand, just like the Killian memos, has a lower standard, a standard more on par with MoveOn.org than even a junior-high journalistic standard.

While I could debunk this so called news story point by point I don’t feel it is even worth the time.

What is clear is that Dan Rather and the CBS Nightly News has an unbridled hatred for George W. Bush and will stop at nothing to influence this campaign.

I am filing a formal complaint with the FCC today citing the events of the last 30 days as proof that CBS and its affiliates no longer work for the “Public Interest.” I am asking that your FCC license be revoked and future request for renewal be denied as long as you continue to be a CBS affiliate.

I am also filing a formal complaint with the FEC citing clear and coordinated attacks between CBS, the DNC and the Kerry Campaign.

Lastly, I am turning off your station and deleting it from my channel selection on all of my TVs. It is clear that Dan Rather and CBS have moved from presenting the news to running a nightly 30 minute commercial on why America needs to vote for John Kerry for President in November.

Never before in my lifetime have I witnessed such blatant BIAS as I have in the last 30 days from CBS and Dan Rather. While bias may be acceptable for commentators or talk radio host it is not acceptable for a “Nightly News” broadcast.

And don’t you dare try to tell me you are just an affiliate and have no control. You are just as guilty as Dan Rather because it is your affiliate fees that are paying Dan’s salary. If you really wanted something done about this you would either stop carrying the “Evening News” or force the entire CBS News Division management into an early retirement.

There is another thread on this that goes into detail on those documents. I thank you all for getting the word out. I sent an e-mail to Hannity, telling him to check out FR and put the word out. I am hoping someone has e-mailed Rush.

Wonder where the speech "god" McCain is. McCain came out with fire and brimstone against the Swift Boats Vets, which is actually what this JFKerry/CBS coordinated activity is all about.

These liberals want the Swiftees out of the media cause they know moderate democrats are not going to like seeing JFKerry in Paris cavorting with the enemy. CBS does not care about how they look, old Danny can hang around, Thornburgh gave the cover and they have continued on the same road smearing President Bush.
