I share your concerns. TNR is a leftist publication, but they have been known to oppose democrat positions on occasion.
In fact he called the coalition FAKE and therefore he voted AGAINST the first gulf war.
He was a "champion debater" and he never got over it. They always teach you to debate both sides. Decades later, he's still doing it. Tomorrow night ought to be fun!

Yeah, I remember in the late '60s that TNR was the "anti-National Review." They do publish objective and honest commentaries on occasion.
