i am fighting the U of Minnesota right now. I was released from active duty last sept and have been accepted to the U. However they are not accepting any transfer credits that I had accumulated during my 8 years including 15 from the University of Maryland University Campus, which is the UMs military based campus. I should be a junior if not a senior due to my CLEP and DANTES testing not including my military schools. But due to wanting more money, the U is graciously giving me 1 credit for boot camp in PT. And as my adviser told me I should be happy to get that.

If the government provides more money for college based on peoples sons and daughters serving democratic party causes as "interns", do you think the availabity of more money will drive college costs up or down. Supply and demand. If you increase demand, and supply more money, prices for college will get a double effect and go WAY up.

So, do you want only millionaires' kids or people properly indoctrinated by the democratic party (and used and abused as "interns") by people like Clinton to be eligible for college? Sounds like a sure way to second class citizenship for proud independent Republicans.

I'm not sure I see mandatory in what Kerry actually said. And I like the idea of tying tuition assistance to service. As a matter of fact, I am a big supporter of the GI Bill. Get rid of all the other gov't tuition assistance and offer anyone who qualifies the GI Bill.

Mandatory service for high school kids just to graduate ,Summer of service ,half a million folks told to show up for govt. mandated "community service " or else .

You just know that somewhere along the line that someone will introduce a oath of loyalty & service to John Kerry like bill Clinton tried to do with the oath of enlistment in the armed forces .
