PARLEZ-VOUS POLITICAL FREE FALL? -- Kerry's Popularity Dropping Faster Than Prices At Walmart!

Amid a solid stream of bad news, The New York Times reported on its own poll -- showing Kerry 8 points behind Bush -- in an article titled: "Bush Opens Lead Despite Unease Voiced in Survey." The Times bases its "unease" conclusion on some secret documents recently given to them by Bill Burkett. This would seem to go against the 80 percent likability rating among Bush supporters I cited previously -- but hey, it's good to see Jayson Blair working again .....

Let's hope Kerry continues his losing streak in the debate tonight. If Mr. Orange presents his usual arrogant, huffy, patrician self, it should be a walkover for Bush!

The New York Times can spin the debates as much as they want to, but they can't make Kerry likable.

Here's something that I worry about. Do you remember how Clinton's people lowered expectations about his courtroom appearance in the Lewinsky affair? They set it up so that all he had to do was look half-way reasonable and people would rethink their opinions of him. If they use the same strategy, Kerry will stifle his natural tendency to be arrogant and hostile. If he succeeds, he will swing some undecideds, who expect him to act like a total Clymer, to his side.

If he acts in this debate as he has been acting on the campaign, his handlers are idiots.

While in the Army a jerk like Kerry usually got what is known as a blanket party. That is where someone comes up from behind you and throws a blanket over your head and most everyone would anonomously beat the poop out of you.

You ever hear of "FRAGGIN'"?
An Army tradition that should have been introduced to the Navy.
If it had, we would not have this problem now.

Captain Nuance says if our horse is drowning we should changes horse in mid-stream.

To make it easier to tell who's who in this horse race, he becomes a horse of a different color. The kind of color you get when you mix red and yellow.

That would take a lot of beating for Mr. Kerry, since he is full of it.

IMO, the debates will be the end of Kerry's WH dream. His speaking style is so bombastic and pontificating compared to Bush's "folksy" style, it will be an immediate turnoff to the undecideds who will quickly decide that they don't want to have to listen to an elitist ass beat his gums about it being Bush's fault for the next 4 years.

It's the same thing that cost Algore the WH.

That's exactly why he joined (begrudgingly) the Naval Reserves.

Plus, could you envision this effete fop as an Army Platoon Leader humpin' a ruck and sleeping in the muck with 'the little people'?

I think you're spot on.
And there's on more thing - his constant finger pointing. People HATE that. It's like the jerk in the restaurant who snaps his finger to get the attention of the waitress. It shows arrogance and Kerry can't stop it - it's 'him'.

As such, I predict that his finger pointing will be like Al Bores 'sighs' in 2000 - a complete turn off.

If an Orange American wins the Whitehouse would this be a triumph for diversity?

Captain Nuance says if our horse is drowning we should changes horse in mid-stream.

Well, he just flip-flopped again. He gave CPR to a drowned hamster. He should, in a situation where his horse is drowning, give the horse mouth-to-mouth.

Except in Kerry's case, giving a horse mouth-to-mouth would be like kissing one's sister.
