I, for one, do not care one whit as to how we are perceived in the coffee shops of Paris. But, a good read overall.

Let me count the ways it bothers me what the rest of the world thinks about us as they avail themselves of our markets, technology, foreign aid, defense resources, entertainment, etc. OK, I've got the count now, it's a great big ZERO! No country on earth is as generous with its resources and abilities. It's always nice to be able to throw stones at the ones you know will be there for you when you need them.

"While the Bush plan had been to turn over the "development" of what his administration carefully referred to as Iraq's sacred "patrimony," aka its oil, to American energy companies like you know which one (and in the process cut the weakling Europeans and clamoring Russians out of the mix), Kerry's is clearly to reshuffle the deck and redistribute some of those Iraqi oil rights to our allies."

Love the lefties. Who coulc have predicted they would be arguing for the protection of TotalFina Elf and Yukos investments and contracts with Saddam?

On the verge of understanding the real reasons why France said "non" it's spun against Bush.

If the world knew John Kerry as anything other than the alternative to George Bush, it would not prefer him.

If Kerry dares to utter worda about forming a broader coalition with our "traditional European allies" Bush should clean his clock and remind him that the French and Germans have both said that they don't care who is in office next Jan 21, they aren't going to Iraq.

Media impressions of Bush rule those polls not reality.

LOL. The Euro-peons anticipate Kerry pulling out of Iraq and allowing them to come in and cozy up to whatever radical regime that would take power so that they could cash in.

Then they expect Kerry to deploy our armed forces to fight in their messes ala Bosnia, Kosovo, etc.

It WAS a good read.
And maybe Elton et al are right: America is hated. (EEK!)
But Kerry is a persuasive guy.
We all know this.
I am confident that he will persuade France, Germany, and Russia to commit their grunts and private citizens to what he considers a tragically flawed concept. AND BEAR THEIR FULL COALITION SHARE, their effort to be judged by his own body-count criterion. And risk for him reprisals in their respective homelands.
Kerry is a persuasive guy.
We all know this.
KERRY NATION!!!
Why Not the Least?

The introduction implied that the U.S. was hoarding Iraq oil contracts for itself. This was the argument a lot of Europeans used to shore up resentment against Bush before the war began.

What has happened to the oil contracts. Certainly, France, Germany, and Russia SHOULD have been shut out. But what did happen?

.
Kerry lives in a dream world. He thinks if he get "peace agreements" written on toilet paper, all will be well with the world.

Check out the John F. Kerry Timeline.

With the disdain that Kerry has shown for our actual allies in this War, he will have to replace them too with his "new friends". So by electing Kerry we lose some of our existing coalition partners, and gain no new ones.

The Bush plan is the right one, the American soldiers will be replaced by Iraqis trained by coalition forces. And then it will be up to them to keep their freedom with some assistance from the world to keep another terrorist from taking over.
