Maybe our prayers paid off...I think the President won this debate. Kerry made claim after claim about how he'd do better and how he has a plan but he never specified anything. The President was very specific and steadfast.

Oops... both Laura and Teh-RAY-zeh clad in PINK. Smart: President Bush brings the twins up on the stage!

Freddie Barnes on FOX: Sen. Kerry did a lot better than I expected. Pres. Bush was very repetitive... "people are working HARD... it's TOUGH." Said MOO-lahs, instead of mullahs...

Well...I have followed the debate on tv as well.

Which give a better picture of how it goes...since it actually shows what is happening....and does not have the issues of naysayers.

Bush has pointed out several times...many times...where Kerry has said something about an issue.....that was not the facts of the issue.

And UNDECIDEDS...are NOT what is found on FR. We are solid conservatives.
SO...just like his convention speech...we wanted more..but it is not aimed at us. Odds are, just like the conventions speech, Bush's message went well with undecideds.

Bush even gave a rebuttal...that forced Kerry to flip flop on what he just said before the President's rebuttal.

ALSO.....Kerry NEVER described what his PLAN was.

We heard he had a plan....but he has yet to give us details.

This debate format is very boooooring after 15 minutes.

Debate was part of my degree in college.

Same here.
All in all, Bush is a little more tentative than I expected and Kerry a little more in control.
I don't think I learned anything new about either candidate.

The President did horribly.. shaking voice, unsteady tone, inability to think creatively. I am so disappointed. Sigh... we've had it. Damnit.

Bush had a very good closing statement, but my word...rest could have been a lot better.

He missed many opportunities to bring serious questions for Kerry.

Did Kerry just suggest we shut down OUR nuclear programs to be consistent with those we are trying to stop?

It certainly is consistent with Senator Kerry's long history of pacifism and attempted dismantling of our armed forces.

If Senator Kerry were elected president, it would be a foreign policy disaster fully on par with the presidencies of Carter and Clinton. Fortunately for us, Senator Kerry is likely to lose this election in a lopsided electoral vote.

I'm betting a lot of them are subversives.

The others are jus to steps away from joining the sheep. The left is organizing tonight in order to sway public opinion as much as possible and we're busy kicking sand in our own faces.

Good points.

Maybe it's me ... Bush has a different style than Kerry.

WHY didn't Bush come back with his plan when Kerry ripped him for not having a plan? Bush shouild have clobbered him on that. Yet he didn't. WHY?

Ah..relief..W hit it hard & strong & relaxed & sincere there in his closing statement. That's the man I've seen so often.

I love W but I was cringing too. Kerry didn't win but Bush did not put him away like he could of. Kerry lied and was negative the whole way but the president hesitated too much and repeated himself too much. The most important debate will be the last one. No one will remember this one by the 3rd debate.

I think Bush's message will look fine in the papers, but I agree with you that there were some cringing moments tonight. There were no gaffes, no gotchas, so I'm pleased about that.
