Bush did great...and he won this debate. He was the sincere guy. Kerry was the global elitist snob with his tongue flicking and his head bobbing, while taking copious notes.

And those orange streaks that appeared on his cheekbones could not have helped him. LOL

My impression is its a draw. Its not where Senator Kerry needs to go to change the dynamics of this race. President Bush held his ground so that's enough to allow him to keep his lead. He would really have had to mess it up badly to fall behind his opponent. Its not going to happen. Unless the next two debates result in a knockout blow to the President, he should get by enough to win a second term in November. Just my 2 cents verdict on tonight's debate.

Most people expected F'n to win the debate tonight. As far as I am concerned, he did win on technical points, but he did not capture the hearts of Americans.

We didn't get the knockout punch tonight that I hoped we might, and Kerry may have made up a little bit of ground, but W is still the solid front-runner.

"They don't. The're praying to Satan :)"

I think all should have a different picture of Satan after seeing JFKerry's lying perverted performance.

JFKerry was "reenacting" Satan tonight, and I was just a incredulous as the President was, and I am proud that President Bush held his composure as well as he did.

Personally while many may well think President Bush did not knock JFKerry out, for those who were paying attention got a real insight to the mind of an evil that has an opportunity to become leader of the free world.

Unfortunately,Kerry won this debate this will hurt Bush badly!!!!!!!

We know what Bush's plan is.
What is Kerry's plan for Iraq? Korea? Iran? Can you answer these questions now, other than say "The UN"?

I hope you are right.

Kerry is a left wing globalist. I think his liberal views which are childish, might include this crap about being consistent and getting rid of our arms and stopping development of other means for a good defense.

I hate debates.

Had our President been able to go one on one with Kerry, he would have slam dunked him.

But unfortunately, that's not the way the debae process goes.

Tonight, I saw President Bush as being straighforward, real, and honest.

Kerry is very good at what he does. LYING on cue.

Hopefully, most of the American public knows this.

What are the uncommitted voters saying on CNN and CBS?

Did they like Bush or Kerry more? If they like either one more, is it enough to change votes?

Put scare quotes around "handle" and you got it. If Kerry were President, when push comes to shove (and it will), North Korea will get everything it wants, including Seattle.

I don't think that is going to be a problem.

After the dust settles, the messages coming out of this debate will be:

1. Kerry is a waffler who is not resolute on the WOT.

2. Bush is not a waffler who is resolute on the WOT.

Get ready, folks. Stephanopoulos just said that the CBS and ABC instant polls say that Kerry won.

As was predicted days ago. They said the same thing about Gore in 2000. Instapolls are setup ahead of time with a few hundred people that agree to watch the debate and answer the questions, usually before the debate is even over.

The debate isn't over tonight:) Folks get a chance to digest what was said, just like in 2000. Here's a couple examples.

When kerry says we gave up chasing osama to go to iraq, we need to remember that osama and company fled to Pakistan. It follows from Kerry's argument that we should have chased him right on into Pakistan. This would have played right into the radicals hands and likely have led to musharef's overthrow. Then we have a nuke country with radicals in charge. How smart is that?

Kerry says the tax cut was dumb. We were in a dangerous economic position with the bursting of the dot com bubble and 911. No fiscal stimulus and we risk a 1929-1930 style downward spiral. How would a depression make America stronger?

Kerry's arguments will be rebutted around the kitchen table.

Yes, the ABC instant poll viewers gave the debate to Kerry. But it didn't change any of their votes. Among them, Bush went in with a 4 pt lead. Afterwards, he still led by 4 pts.

It's always easier to look rested when you, (1) have a fake tan sprayed on, (2) have a manicure, (3) get your teeth whitened, (4) have a massage (I'd bet), (5) don't have to spend the day of a debate comforting people who may have lost practically everything they own by way of a hurricane, (6) not have to deal with all the secret stuff the public doesn't know about, (7) take a nap, then go debate. Not making excuses here for the President, but geez, GET REAL. Talk about a tough day. Kerry doesn't have ANY IDEA. He just picks up his check.

I don't know what debate you watched.

Bush spoke from the heart, to the heartland.

And Kerry just promoted the UN.

Bush won, plain and simple.
