Authorities reviewing Wisconsin voter registration forms: Lists of Frauds included
(Wisconsin) Journal Times ^ | 09.30.2004 | Rob Golub

Allegations include:

* Project Vote turned in 1,389 voter registration forms as of Sept. 1.

* 59 were for voters already registered, city officials said.

* Of 96 letters the city sent out to the addresses on suspicious forms, 16 have so far been returned by the post office as unable to be delivered, city officials said.

* Two forms were filled out by non-citizens, city officials said.

* One form was filled out with two different first names, city officials said.

* Two or three registration forms were turned in for one person on several occasions, city officials said.

The Journal Times called the names on several forms. For some names, the phone at the number on the form rang with no answer, or the number was disconnected, or the name was not in the phone book. Lisa Seay, reached by phone, said she never filled out a voter registration form, even though a form had been turned in with her name, address, an incorrect birthday for her, and, supposedly, her signature.

(begin article here)
RACINE - Prosecutors and sheriff's deputies are reviewing suspicious voter registration forms turned in by a group called Project Vote, and the city of Racine has banned the four registrars allegedly responsible for the forms from turning in any more.

City officials have been overwhelmed with thousands of new voter registration forms in recent weeks, and they have determined that some of the forms are suspicious. Separate inquiries conducted by city employees and The Journal Times have uncovered voter registration forms that appear to have been filled out and supposedly signed by voters without the voters' knowledge.

"We've contacted the sheriff's department. They're going to be assigning an investigator," said Deputy District Attorney Michael Nieskes. "We will take an active role with the investigator on it."

Nieskes said possible felony charges under state forgery and election laws could bring penalties of up to six years and a $10,000 fine.

Under state law, "registrars" who do not work for government may approach you, ask you to fill out a voter registration form, and turn in the form for you. Mayor Gary Becker said he believes registrars may have been grabbing names from the phone book and registering them to make some easy money.

It's possible.

Registrars from Project Vote are paid a base rate and are expected to register a certain number of people per day, said Project Vote State Director Doris Alexander.

Alexander said her organization targets first-time black voters for registration nationwide, and that turning in incorrect voter forms runs contrary to the purpose of the organization.

Alexander said Damien Jones, the Project Vote coordinator for the cities of Racine and Kenosha, was fired Friday after she learned of the problems. Alexander also said she has hired a new coordinator and the registrars who worked for Jones no longer work for Project Vote.

"Everything that Damien was a part of is gone," she said. "It upsets us. That's something we will not tolerate. In our orientations we make our people aware that they will be prosecuted. Anything that we can do, we're working with the city clerk to resolve this matter."

Kenosha City Clerk Jean Morgan said she received some voter registration forms from Project Vote and her office routinely rejects any forms that don't look right when they first come in. But she said state law generally does not require identification for voter registrations turned in by registrars, so there is no way to know for sure if forms are improper.

"How would we know?" she asked. She said Kenosha officials do initially check to see "if it matches up, if it's a city address," but they are not investigating all the forms already turned in.

The Racine City Clerk's office has been conducting an internal investigation into allegedly improper voter registration forms. Allegations include: * Project Vote turned in 1,389 voter registration forms as of Sept.

Lisa Seay, reached by phone, said she never filled out a voter registration form, even though a form had been turned in with her name, address, an incorrect birthday for her, and, supposedly, her

signature.

Deputy City Clerk Carolyn Moskonas forwarded a small collection of voter registration forms she considers suspicious to the Racine County District Attorney's Office on Wednesday.

Nieskes, the prosecutor, said investigators will look at much more than the small collection sent to his office. He said they will work as quickly as possible with the importance of Election Day in mind. But he said it's hard to say at this point how much can be accomplished before the election. "There may be a lot of paperwork to go through at this point," he said.

Nieskes said the State Elections Board has been informed and agents from the state Department of Justice may also

investigate.

For the 2004 election, Project Vote has registered more than one million people nationwide and close to 30,000 people in Wisconsin, Alexander said. The organization has focused on the southeast within Wisconsin.

Moskonas said she is appreciative of the efforts of Project Vote, despite the controversy.

"We don't want them to stop what they are doing," Moskonas said. "We just want them to do it accurately."

A loud indictment against this organization would help put an end to this.

This election isn't about the polls. Straight up, Bush wins easily. The biggest fear I have is fraudulent voting, and we all know which party has expertise in that practice.

At least some of the papers in Wisconsin are keeping on top of this sort of thing.

I hope the US Attorney for SE Wisconsin is keeping an eye on this. He has been very aggressive in prosecuting Rat corruption in Milwaukee.

Handcuffs need to be produced and arrests need to be made or all this hoopla about "vote fraud" is just another chapter in the decades-old folklore of Democrat vote fraud. Personally, I think this kind of news is designed to "suppress" the Republican vote by making normal, working, traditional American families believe that their vote is worthless - - it will only be offset by fifty fraudulent Democrat votes anyway, so why bother? And it's easy to sympathize because nobody ever really does anything about it, other than pay phony-baloney lip service.

Republicans have to decide RIGHT NOW that if ANY STATEs margin of victory for those (insert nasty word here) demorats is LESS THAN 100,00 votes that they DEMAND A RECOUNT.

2 years ago a republican here lost an election by less than 500 votes, he didn't demand a recount. He did his own investigation and found over 900!!! votes where bad.

Republicans are to nice and need to start fighting back!!!!

Milwaukee county is finding similar questionable votes from this and other voter registration groups. The stink is rising, but will the Milwaukee DA, Mr. McCann (Democrat) do anything about it?

He ignored the year 2000 evidence of vote fraud, so don't hold your breath - hold your nose instead.

What this really means is that there are Democrats willing to do anything to get power back, even if it is illegal, and if we don't want them to STEAL this election like they tried to do in 2000 then we need to make sure that we vote en-masse this November. IT NEEDS TO BE A CONVINCING DEFEAT FOR DEMOCRATS.

One thing we are learning. CRATS will cheat if it means they win. Heard from a few CRAT friends of mine they would do anything to get President Bush out. They are no longer my friends.

Click the picture & goto "last" for the latest on Vote Fraud:

...and a note from your compiler of links- near the "last" are links about Project Vote, PIGRIM, and other far-Left pressure groups who hide under the "activist" label while subverting representative government.

These nasty characters demean and dilute the value of everyone's vote.

The plan, besides their hope of throwing the election to sKerry, is to so thoroughly corrupt the election results that Mr. Bush will either not be taken seriously, or open to impeachment.

You had better take this stuff seriously- it is a dagger aimed at the heart of the Republic.

Has a Rat ever won an election with computerized voting machines? It's harder for their poll workers to game the computers--stuffing a bunch of paper ballots is easy. the computer fraud would require the poll workers to repeatedly go into the booth and go through the computer ballot over and over. That would be too conspicuous.

Please Pass Emergency Anti-Vote Fraud Measure Immediately!

Vote fraud threatens the very core of our republic, and it directly threatens our sovereignty

Please send the following message to your Congressmen and Senators:

Please pass, on an expedited basis, emergency legislation to require voters to show ID at all polling places on Election Day.

Vote fraud threatens the very core of our republic, and it directly threatens our sovereignty. There is a significant amount of evidence emerging that evinces a wide-spread plot to engage in massive voter fraud. Thus, Congress must take immediate action to counter this potential menace.

Congress has the express power to dictate the time, place, and manner in which federal elections are held. The congressional power to make or alter time, place, or manner of federal elections extends to the regulation of voter registration. Federal regulation of the electoral processes, including the regulation of federal voter registration, is also consistent with the Tenth Amendment and permissible; although states do have broad discretion to enact and implement registration procedures, states may not transgress the Constitution. It follows that state voter registration and Election Day statutes that are inconsistent with federal voter registration and Election Day mandates are preempted.

As per the Federal Court in Byrd v. Brice, the government may require a voter to furnish proof of identity at the polling place on Election Day. Such a measure would go a long way in protecting citizens’ federal voting rights from fraudulent practices.

Please set to work immediately on enacting emergency legislation to require a valid ID at the polling places on Election Day.

It's this kind of crap that makes me think that a national ID card might be worth it, after all.
