Members of Hamas 'on UN payroll'

OTTAWA - The United Nations agency that provides assistance and food aid to Palestinian refugees admits it has hired members of the terrorist group Hamas to help in its efforts.

Peter Hansen, commissioner-general of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for palestinian refugees (UNRWA), told the CBC he believes it likely that Hamas members receive paycheques from his organization.

"Oh I am sure that there are Hamas members on the UNRWA payroll and I don't see that as a crime. Hamas as a political organization does not mean that every member is a militant and we do not do political vetting and exclude people from one persuasion as against another," Mr. Hansen said.

"We demand of our staff, whatever their political persuasion is, that they behave in accordance with UN standards and norms for neutrality."

Canada contributes roughly $10-million annually to UNRWA.

And this is the organization John Kerry says should vet our foreign policy.

The UN is part of the "global test."

Would THAT be one of those nuanced ideas sKerry talks about?

It's my understanding that Hamas is the military wing of the PA, not a political wing.

Am I correct? Anybody? If I am, aside form a logical perspective, should it make a difference?

How else are we going to know if they want to use bombs against us unless we pay for these bombs?

Help is on the way! Kerry will likely extend this with nuclear technology, to best find out the full scope of their intentions.

"You people are fools.
Of course, our leader, Abu Annan, Emperor of all Terrorists,
supports Hamas. Given the "Global Test",
you dhimmis must surrender NOW.
Get down on your knees like the cowardly French, Phillipinos and Spanish."

The two are merely heads of the hydra of Islamofascism. And the UN sees nothing wrong with either of them.

"We demand of our staff, whatever their political persuasion is, that they behave in accordance with UN standards and norms for neutrality."

Well, that certainly explains it, the UN standards for neutrality means anti-US/anti-Israel, just like in the oil for food scandal.

Very interesting...I was just reading on cns news that Israel wants to UN to quit letting the Palestinian terrorists use the UN vehicles to transport their weapons.

But the "humanitarian" wing of Hamas would certainly be outraged by this....

Am I correct?

No, you're not. Hamas is very seperate from the PA. The PA's 'military' (aka terrorist) wing is the al Aqsa Martyr Brigade. Although they (hamas/PA) cooperate, they are seperate. In fact, I think it quite likely there will be a pali civil war between the Hamas faction and the Arafat faction. To put in perspective, Hamas is attacking Arafat from the extreme front...condemning him for not adequately supporting terrorism, for even making noises about dealing with Israel.

No, this would be the Al Aksa brigades... Hamas is a wholly different organization, in competition with the Fatach on both the political and terrorist (I won't use the word "military" for this band of murderous neasts)... They want a theocratic state without one Jew to the sea...

we do not do political vetting

Of course they don't.

They do lunch in the UN Delegates' Dining Room

Kerry and the UN leadership go great together. They like the perks of their jobs and the chances to tell others how to act and what to think.

"we do not do political vetting"

I wonder how many Israelis the UNRWA has on its payroll. I bet it's zero.

According to the UN being a member of Hamas does not make you a militant and being a militant does not make you a terrorist.

This is real good, this means Hamas is recieving stolen funds from the oil for food program via the UN.

Why is anyone surprised? The UN itself is a terrorist organization. Why do I say that? Just look at a list of its 192 member nations. How many aren't dictatorships? Look at a list of the 53 nations on their so-called Human Rights Commission, which includes Cuba, Congo, France(!), Sudan, and Zimbabwe.
