Heinz Products
Look at a Heinz catsup bottle. Sure enough, it was MADE IN CANADA.
Look at a jar of Heinz sandwich slice pickles. Yep.... "Made in Mexico." Check some of your Heinz products.
Sen. John Kerry keeps talking about U.S. corporations leaving this country and setting up shop in foreign countries, taking thousands of jobs with them. He is right, because that has happened. However, he is trying to blame it on George W. Bush.
As far as I know, Bush has not moved one factory out of this country because he is not the owner of a single factory. That cannot be said about Kerry and his wife, Teresa Heinz-Kerry.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the Kerrys own 32 factories in Europe and 18 in Asia and the Pacific. In addition, their company, the Heinz Company, leases four factories in Europe and four in Asia. Also, of their 27 factories in the Americas, many are in Mexico and the Caribbean.
I wonder how many hundreds of American workers lost their jobs when these plants relocated in foreign countries. I also wonder if the workers in Mexico and Asia are paid the same wages and benefits as workers in the United States.
Of course they're not. However, Kerry demands that other companies that relocate should pay the same benefits they did in the U.S. Why does he not demand this of the Heinz Company, since he is married to the owner?
If Kerry is elected, will he and his wife close all those foreign factories and bring all those jobs back to America? Of course they won't. They're making millions off that cheap labor, as true Liberal hypocrits always do.
Please forward.
I don't think Kerry or his wife control any controlling interest the Heinz Company.
Correct, Teresa has zero control of the Heinz company.
There are plenty of good reasons not to vote for Kerry, this just happen not to be one of them
Yep. And even if they did, I don't see anything wrong with what Heinz does.
If pickles are grown in Mexico, then you can them THERE.
Unless we're sending pickles to Mexico for canning, and then bringing them back, it's not outsourcing.
"That cannot be said about Kerry and his wife, Teresa Heinz-Kerry.
"
Uh, I'm afraid it can. Theresa Heinz-Kerry and her husband have no controlling interest in the Heinz corp. Without such interest, they can't send any jobs overseas.
We must get our facts straight before posting this kind of stuff.
Look, if John Kerry and Silky Pony want to castigate Cheney for Halliburton, then their glass houses become pretty tempting to us peasants.
Exactly... I think that for too long Republicans have taken the "High Road". As long as we don't resort to flat-out lying about a candidate, then pointing out their hypocrisy is fair game.

Wait, I thought offshoring was good. Let's not play both sides of this argument unless we want to end up looking like Smiley and the Undertaker.
there are good and bad about out sourcing. It depends on the product. The reason most of the apparel industry went off shore is because of several reasons, 1 it became difficult to find new employment that was willing to work in factory jobs, 2 Bill Clinton passed Nafta, made it cheaper to make out of the country, I think what we need to realize is we are going through a change, just like we did when we went from agriculture to manufacturing, then to technology. people have to change with the demand of the employer.
"Please forward."
Oh wow, don't get me started on forwards...No matter how much fact you put into your forwards or e-mails to liberals, they don't listen, but only insult you back..It is mentally frustrating to try to convince a liberal about Kerry and the words/flip-flops/lies that come out of his own mouth. They still say Republicans are brainwashed, etc. and it drives me nuts to no end. The only thing to say at the end of those forwards, e-mails is:Next week, your Bush Bashing e-mails won't matter anymore when President George W. Bush wins this election handily. God Bless America and God Bless George W. Bush.
