Finally, KABC in Los Angeles is booting out the far left and disgusting Ken Minyard from the morning show. I will be able to listen to KABC again in the morning.
Coming on Oct. 18 is this man ----
The only problem is that, once again, I will be listening to two radios at the same time. I can't give up Laura Ingraham.
Sad but true. Here's an extra 'A' for your next post. Heh heh...
Laura is on 870 in Glendale and 590 in San Bernardino from 6 to 9 AM.
It is being announced tomorrow. I guess a giveaway is that I pulled the picture I just posted from the KABC website. Not really difficult detective work.
KABC will stream the feed.
From what I read, 560 AM in Chicago will be converted from a Spanish station to a conservative talk station in Nov. carrying Laura and some others that aren't carried by WLS.
Can't wait.
I hope this wasn't just his promo when he sat in last week. But I heard this was going to happen from a source a few weeks ago. Let's see if the source was accurate or I jumped the gun.
I know what you mean, but every now and then one or the other, or both, will just be talking about something disinteresting. I like listening to Elder, John and Ken, and sometimes Savage at drive time. But even with all those choices the topics may be disinteresting to me. KKLA is another station I check in on daily at drive time. Frank Pastore is great, a fine replacement for Duffy.
KABC was my first real exposure talk radio. I used to listen to Michael Jackson, even though he was a pompous poofter. I liked Steve Edwards a lot. And there was Peter Tilden for a while who was was wonderfully wierd. What ever happened to him?
GREAT!!! I am driving to work in the morning between 5:00 and 5:45. I hated listening to Minyard. But tell me, is Ingraham really on radio at the same time? I didn't know that!
bttt
Argh. I can't get AM in my skyscraper office building!
my most fav besides Britt Hume...Tony Snow is like VP Cheney...hes always calm but always has the facts!!!!
It is Tony Snow. I love his radio show.
I usually end up hearing Tony Snow late at night when they replay his show.
I think Tony Snow is sexy! Bush too!
I agree with you on both counts. President Bush and Tony Snow are both very sexy.
Dick Cheney is also on my list of most sexy men.
Was there a specific announcement to that effect?
Gaaarrrggghhh.
I am so jealous!!
OK, Doug, please disregard my previous inquiry. This is, indeed, very, very, very , very good news. Why did it take that program director so long to figure out that he should try a conservative in that slot?
"From what I read, 560 AM in Chicago will be converted from a Spanish station to a conservative talk station in Nov. carrying Laura and some others that aren't carried by WLS. "
I grew up in Chicago. Sorry to say I haven't been home in a couple of years but: Wow! That is fantastic news.
My memories of Chicago radio are my dad waking up at 6:00 a.m or so and getting the farm reports from Orion Samuelson (sp?) on the AM news dial--pork bellies, etc., ads for corn fertilizer, etc. :)
To this day, I have a major soft spot for AM radio and talk and news radio. :)
Just like a lot of Freepers, I guess. :)
