A universal military draft could be in the works if a new approach to resolving the post-invasion turmoil in Iraq is not found, Rep. Jim Moran told a near-capacity audience at a town meeting here Monday.

I think the last name is misspelled.

Sen MORON is experiencing the creeping effects of severe senility. The sack of crap should have retired decades ago.

I guess in his alternate universe, the Charley Rangel bill was not defeated.

I think Ive come up with a great way to celebrate the Bush victory in November.

We could have an online contest to see who can create the best draft notice to distribute among democrats.

Apparently he didn't pay attention to the house bill that shot down RANGEL'S draft proposal!

What a putz!

Bush's phony Niger yellow cake claim

Didn't the Gorelick commission here and the Butler commission in England prove the veracity of that claim?

Not that that would have mattered to See BS.

I didn't know there were so many socialists in Falls Church!

By the way, Jim Moran flip-flopped on his maiden speech in the US House. During a debate on congressional authorization for the first Gulf War, Moran came down on the side of Bush 41. When Moran got home, he was bombarded by phone calls from his liberal supporters in northern Virginia about how wrong an idea that was. Sure enough, the next day Moran recanted and voted against the resolution.

What a rock.

What an unusual person.

The irony of this is that if you deliberately herd society into a corner where it's a fragmented "diverse" society which exists as nothing more than an economic collective of unlike indviduals...

...you raise a self-centered generation that's as allergic to a military draft as a cat is to water.

Institute a draft and see what % of our nation's youth leave for Canada or Europe. I suspect the Pied Piper wouldn't be nearly as effective.

Looks like this guy is taking a break from beating his wife and little kids.

My 10th grader says she has Moran's son in one of her classes. As we live in Maryland, I figure he must be the child of a broken home.

Apparently, the son is a rabid lib, and he gets into "debates" with the Spanish teacher during Spanish class. The Spanish teacher is a native speaker of Spanish (hispanic, I guess), who apparently supports W.

My kids tell me all the gossip at school!

I guess the fact that the House voted down the bogus Dem draft bill by a 402-2 margin doesn't register on Moran's radar. Which makes him a FINE addition to the Kerry campaign team, which couldn't tell Bob Kerrey apart from John Kerry.
