KERRY'S CASE COLLAPSES
MSNBC ^ | October 7, 2004 | Glenn Reynolds

Posted on 10/07/2004 11:20:38 AM PDT by Question Liberal Authority

Although everybody's talking about weapons of mass destruction, the story that's not being reported --you'd almost think the press "wants Kerry to win"-- is the complete collapse of John Kerry's foreign policy case, and the reason for that collapse.

The ISG, who confirmed last autumn that they had found no WMD, last night presented detailed findings from interviews with Iraqi officials and documents laying out his plans to bribe foreign businessmen and politicians.

I don't know if this was posted earlier in a different form, but here it is on MSNBC.

While suturing a laceration on the hand of an 80-year-old grizzled Texas rancher (whose hand had caught in a gate while working cattle), a doctor and the old man were talking about John Kerry's possibility of being in the White House.

The old Texan said, "Well, ya know, Kerry's one of them 'post turtles'."

Not knowing what the old man meant, the doctor asked him what a post turtle was.

The old man said, "Well, when you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post turtle."

The old man saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he continued to explain, "You know he didn't get there by himself, he doesn't belong there, he can't get anything done while he's up there, and you just want to help the poor dumb bastard get down 'afore he hurts hisself."

Nuff said............

WOW! MSNBC? What? Good editorial!

He is right on! I love the quote: "This sounds like the John Kerry of 1971. I can't help but think that, for Kerry, every war is Vietnam. And if he's President, I'm afraid that might turn out to be the case."

Time to e-mail the writer and tell him good job.

Body bags. This sounds like the John Kerry of 1971. I can't help but think that, for Kerry, every war is Vietnam. And if he's President, I'm afraid that might turn out to be the case.

That's a good point. For Kerry, Iraq is Vietnam. For Bush, it's WWII. Which one do you prefer?

Vote accordingly.

If the author is the same Glenn Reynolds I'm thinking of, he also runs the excellent Instapundit blog.

I didn't know he was writing for MSNBC as well.

Yes, he does. And that's why Kerry isn't going to win.

The message in this article needs to be hammered home.
I hope President Bush studies the article carefully. It's a lot more articulate than anything that was said in the past two debates.

Good report. I'm glad it made it to the MSM. Thank you Mr. Reynolds for this. It will make it harder for the left to ignore the truth.
