John Kerry can tell if you make more than $200k a year, just by LOOKING at you!

Posted on 10/09/2004 6:57:32 AM PDT by JohnRand

Kerry: "...And looking around here, at this group here, I suspect there are only three people here who are going to be affected: the president, me, and, Charlie, I'm sorry, you too."

Kerry speaking in last evening's debate about his plan to raise taxes on people making 200k+ annually. So now John Kerry is prejudging people by just looking at them to determine their income?!? He decided that the only people in the room that qualified as his new tax-hike victims were himself, Bush and Charlie Gibson! Wow, a big criticism many liberals have of Bush is his supposed "arrogance", there was simply nothing more arrogant and ignorant than that statement that Kerry made and it will probably haunt his campaign...

Also ... was it just me? Or did anyone else notice that he directed several of his answers toward a black woman, Nikki Washington, when she wasn't the one asking the questions?

Looking down at people is a trait of privlige only enabled by being a billionaire. How can skerry represent the afflicted and victimized people he claims to represent if he looks down at them like they are meaningless pieces of poo? Kinda like his impression given about our allies in Iran and Afganastan. What a slam!

LOL, cheap flip flops -- If you too live in the People's Republic of L.A., you may have seen the wealthy and the famous around town wearing the thinnest, flattest flip-flops all summer -- but NEVER drugstore kind, always designer (add a few zeros to the end of the price).

As someone in that group, who spent several decades in school and training, it's nice to know my reward is to be punished for success. By the way, as someone who's smarter then the senator, my response is going to be to cut back my hours so that I stay right at the 200k line. Not worth it to me to work so hard for less then 50cents on the dollar. Lifes too short.

Bush is right, the 200,000 at year cut off would KILL small businesses because they are typically S corporations and the income is taxed as an individual. Kerry would KILL where the MAJORITY of growth is for NEW and BETTER jobs.

I guess Kerry has a keen sense of Gigolodar.

LOL. He's married rich twice, became a U.S. Senator, now he wants to be President. Come on, he deserves it damn it!

I didn't watch the debate...

Could someone tell me...if this comment by Heinz Kerry...was $200k household income, or did he mean $200k per individual? Because that's a big diff....

Not that it matters that much...because if he wins...he will just pull a Clinton anyway. "I've never worked harder in my life...blah, blah, blah....but I will have to raise taxes"

FRegards,

I'm just damn glad that this was obvious to more folks than just myself. Limbaugh,Boortz,Hannity should have a field day with this gem come monday.

My wife pointed out something quite interesting following the debate. It appeared that W was being mobbed by people who wanted to say hello. Kerry was not. The camera angles were different, but it looked as though only a few people approached Kerry and that many of the people in his shot had their back to him and were trying to get close to W. Anyone else notice this?

As Rush always mentions, any small business owner filing under (????) will be included in his over $200K group. And these are the people that hire others (JOBS, Senator...).

There is NO WAY to pick out every small business owner in a crowd.

That is all that he will accomplish in reality. That and he keeps you at a distance from HIS WORLD

You're right. Is he that shallow that he would judge people's wealth by their clothes ? Or maybe he was looking at their hair and thinking "Hmmm, sure doesn't look like one of those $1000 haircuts I get."

Probably insulted Theresa with that comment too. Since he didn't name her in the group affected by the tax cut, he obviously didn't think SHE looked like she fit the image of wealth.

I hear you. I was making 90 grand a year. The company and business that I was in took a turn for the worse. I was out of work for 2 years and we lost everything 2 years ago I found another job, I am making about 50 grand a year, things are tight, but I have started my own business which is about to take off and quite possibly make millions...... why would I want that if robbing hoodwink kerry gets elected, why do the dems want to destroy the one thing this country has, Opportunity? It's why the immigrants came here.

And the dolts on Fox & Friends didn't notice either. In fact, they tilted toward Kerry in winning the debate! The weekend F&F trio are too hard to watch. Wonder why I keep giving them a try only to be continually disappointed?
