Don't worry GarySpFc very few on here are buying what this guy's shoveling.
His "Forget the madman with the machete chopping off heads and watch the guy in the funny hat sipping vodka", ain't going to work with most people. MRN.
I'm not in the least worried about ForGodNotMan. Outside of reading newspapers the man at best would be qualified to make borscht.

Hey Destro, ever heard of the Declaration of Independence? Yes - and you are not bright enough to know that the reasons given in the DoI were contemporary complaints of rights violations to the Crown?

That's exactly right. "Uncle Joe" Stalin was our ally when we needed him to fight a bigger threat. Without him, we would have lost WWII. Wow! You mean we had no other use for all those tanks and AirCobras we shipped to Stalin the killer runt man? If you mean "ally" in the extremely narrow sense of one who ground up lots of Germans, relieving us of the need to do so , then you could call the evil pig an "ally". In terms of his effect on the final outcome against Hitler, Stalin was contributory but in no sense whatsover dispositive. Our victory over Hitler would have ensued even if the D-Day landings had been thrown back. You see, we had this little aircraft carrier yclept HMS Sceptred Isle. Read Churchill's history of WWII, all six volumes. You will find that the Russkies haven't changed much.

Well when you go there you will find out differently. I was there many times between 1995-2000 and stayed with lots of Russians that owned their own homes and apartments.

past historical grievences can not serve as justification for current independence motives. I posted to you a Google link listing Russian atrocities against innocent Chechen civilians.
The atrocities were "contemporary".
To: FreeReign
My POV is: When all of the terrorists are removed from Chechnya by Putin, then at that point, if the people of Chechnya want independence, they should get independence. Don't you agree??As has been posted here over and over, they had independence and turned their country into a portal to Hades. It took more than a few terrorists to do this. At the time all decent people left and went to southern Russia. What is left can safely be eliminated. I hope Putin has the nerve to do it and stand up to the peaceniks and liberals in the world who will continue to support terrorists and islamofascists.

The atrocities were "contemporary".I guess you support those Palis who blow up children too. Sending money off to the chechen orphan funds? Be careful because we just raided one of those "orphan funds" since it was supplying the terrorists with cash to kill Russians.

I'm confused ... you talking to me or Sinkspur?
If you're addressing me, address it to me.
If you're looking to stir the pot, feel free to leave me off the list entirely. I'm not as enamored of the gamesplaying as you and others who seem amenable to being pinged in to others' conversations thus.

As has been posted here over and over, they had independence and turned their country into a portal to Hades. It took more than a few terrorists to do this. At the time all decent people left and went to southern Russia. Sure it took more than a few terrorists to screw up Chechnya. That said, many innocent are born into Chechnya everyday.
What is left can safely be eliminated.
You're an advocate of genocide. As I said earlier, you are loathsome.
To: FreeReign
No I am a realist. And educated about chechnya.

Well get back to me when you have been to the border and had some firsthand experience with chechens. Until then, you know
NOTHING. You're just reading a bunch of liberal human rights crap, the same people who go after Bush for our war in Iraq, and buying into something that you are clueless about.
I didn't get my beliefs from an internet site. I was there.

The atrocities were after the war started not before and thus can not be used ex post facto as a reason for independence. Try again.

Atrocities during the war are every reason in the world for independence -- from the war on forward.
To: FreeReign
Hell no - You don't declare indpendence when your rights are not being violated and then use the war as a reason after the fact. That is nonesense.
