hey, a guy who can spot out those in a room who make 200,000 dollars or more can certainly sniff out problems on the battlefield 12,000 miles away

You all don't get it. Kerry does not need to go to Iraq or Afghanistan... HE WAS IN VIETNAM!! Duh!

I wonder if they will go in the next 24 days?

This is so sickening, Tonk, but why am I surprised? How half of the country could be seriously even thinking of voting for these two creatures is beyond me! :(

That is exactly my beef. Kerry want to be Commander in Chief, yet he has not found it necessary to visit the troops either in Afghanistan or in Iraq. Neither has he found it necessary to visit the wounded at Walter Reed or any military hospital here in the states. Or comfort the widows, husbands, children, mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters of thos brave troops who gave their lives.
I don't think so

I'd also like to see the documentation on him visiting any troops in the hospital. I can't find not one google reference.

Kerry and Edwards never went to Iraq. I'm sure they have a plan for that too

I thought in one of his interviews after locking up the nomination, Kerry said he had gone to Iraq. [That interview would have been months ago.]
[Maybe I am thinking of his saying he was 'there' for the end of Gulf War 1.]

Neither was present to vote to make the tax cuts for the middle class permanent, yet still claim they are for middle class tax cuts. Cheney pointed this out in the debate with Edwards. Bush should have done the same to Kerry.

Kerry did say in this last debate that he met with all the members of the UN Security Council the week before we went into Iraq [shades of his meetings in Paris 35 years ago].
No one called him on that. What was his 'authority' for doing so?
Did he really meet with them, or is this another fabrication? Kerry has been caught telling so many whoppers, fibs, lies, that one has to question each thing he says.

I just see it as a great photo op for Kerry.

Good question... why didnt you go to Iraq? ... another tough question that Gibson and the others tossed aside so they could ask Bush about those 'biggest mistakes' he made.

I have never understood why this hasn't been pointed out more often. How can Kerry attempt to talk about what's going on in Iraq when he hasn't been there? For Kerry to infer in the debate that the pictures on the nightly news is an accurate picture of Iraq is intellectually dishonest (wait, scratch "intellectually"). It's proof that Kerry et al get their foreign policy briefings from the NY Times and from scraps of paper in Sandy Berger's underwear.
