I think getting your head cut off, or being blown up by a car bomb would be a real nuisance - very annoying. /sarc.

You know, if you read the whole article it is funny that by the end, even the reporter seem strangely confused about why someone would say something like that after 9/11 and I am sure he wasn't a staunch conservative considering where he works.

Yup, from Drudge link:

"This demonstrates a disconcerting pre-September 11 mind-set that will not make our country safer," Gillespie said on "Face the Nation" on CBS. "And that is what we see relative to winning the war on terror and relative to Iraq."

Hours later, Bush's re-election campaign announced a new television ad that plays off of Kerry's interview comment. "Terrorism ... a nuisance? How can Kerry protect us when he doesn't understand the threat?" the ad says. The campaign said the ad would run on national cable television networks and the campaign's Web site.

Don't sugar coat it. You're supposed to say, "He's an @$$____, bless his heart."

This guy is a space case! More like self gratification....Put Guiliani on the case and let Kerry meet a real prosecutor.

So this reminds me of when Kerry also said "the threat of terrorism has been exaggerated",Bush/Cheney needs to bury Kerry with his own words and senate record.

Just finished watching the bald stuttering geek in Fox news Live, ArmyBratCutie.

His blatherings remind me of a cat trying feverishly to cover up its droppings on a hard wood floor.

Kerry shot himself in the guts with his "No New Taxes!" moment during the debate. Now he's going to go through an IV of tainted blood with his "nuisance" quip.

Every time he opens his mouth, he supplies President Bush with a quiver full of brand new arrows.

Couldn't happen to a nicer, more deserving guy!

Jack.

The Cole bombing and the embassy bombings and the WTC bombing were all treated like "nuisances."

And be sure and mention that those attacks were murderous attacks on American citizens as well. Murder is murder, it ain't nuisance even if less than 4000 people are murdered.

It has been made into a Bush-Cheney commerical.

Well, that's good news!

The Kerry philosophy is that once we've captured Bin Laden, terrorism will be at an end--just as it was when they caught Ramsi Yousef.

Here's the big problem for Kerry and his wife TerAHza. They don't see themselves as one of us! Bush does. 911 was something that, as an American, personally happened to him! Just like it happened to us. Kerry doesn't feel that way! 911 is something that happened to those people in his mind. That's why he and his wife make such condesending remarks. We are those people! You know, the ones making less than 200K a year (according to our looks), the ones that should just go naked, the one's whose problems are a mere nuisance!

...I wonder what he considers a disaster...

You have to put things in the proper perspective. Kerry views the world through French colored glasses. To the French the 9-11 attacks just made it a little harder to conceal the bribe money from Saddam.

Kerry should back his words up with action. The next time some poor sap is kidnapped in Iraq, Kerry should ofer to take his place. If he comes back we will all know that he is allied with the terrorist and hence not qualified to be our president. If he doesn't come back; we will arraign a really nice state funeral.
