I think it is time to disband the UN and get it out of the US. I am sure when it was established it had grand ideas of how it could help in the world but now it is ineffective and useless. Put it out of its misery.

The answer to that question is "Absolutely." And the United States shouldn't have to fund most of it.

Nahh... it's just hopeless.

Even if it wasn't corrupt, it would still be impotent.

"Is the U.N. hopelessly corrupt?"

If the question has to be asked you already know the answer.

(Where's that pic with the guy holding the "UN go to Hell" sign pic that I thought I saved?}

Why are they bothering?

It will cost them money and bring them nothing but grief.

It might be more effective for them to join the
League of Nations.

Is the U.N.hopelessly corrupt?

YES! And that's the way Kofi Annan, Jacques Chirac, the Democratic party and all their ilk want it!

the UN should be relocated out of the HOLY SOIL of The United States of America into a suitable country more befitting it.

Maybe sunny Somalia or Sudan perhaps? Or Maybe jolly ol Rwanda? I hear Libia is great and has some great beaches too?

Of course the USA will not pay a dime to it anymore.

The short answer is "yes." For members of the UN to have taken financial consideration in order to effect the nullification of sitting UN resolutions is by definition corrupt. For them to curse the United States for enforcing those resolutions is by definition corrupt. For them to cover up for it afterward and attempt to shift the blame to the blameless is by definition corrupt. This isn't difficult.

This article is about the Republic of China on Taiwan, not the un-United Nations. The "One China" policy is a sham. The Taiwanese people deserve our unqualified support, and the Chinese overlords on the mainland deserve our contempt.
