Don't forget those WW-I "Trench Guns" that mounted a 17" Bayonet on the end! Those can be really persuasive!

Serisously though; they make rubber "non lethal" shotgun rounds with both 12-ga. hard rubber ball or buckshot to "disuade" an aggressor without spattering their innards all over the place, and might provide an intermediary tactical option between the baseball bats and the "deadly force" live ammo.

The defensive use of such "intermediary" options prior to an escalation justifying a deadly force response usually works to the Defender's good during their subsequent persecutions in court, BTW.

Apparently some folks over in Europe are using them in flare pistols which they are sometimes allowed to own, using a 12-ga. adapter sleeve (which can be bought to use 12-ga. flares in a 27MM (1 inch bore) flare launcher for home defense situations, where they would be jailed for life if they used anything more "lethal" to defend themselves with.

Apparently in the UK you go to jail if you even resist a home invader with a sword or a golf club. Socialist Utopia, eh wot?

I would like to get ahold of some 27MM brass casings to load up some such rubber ball rounds to about 350 FPS; a 1" ball ought to take the wind out of some punk without having to clean a lot of blood up, I would imagine.

Another less than lethal tactical option might be paintball guns. Those things smart (and leave some nasty welts) when you get hit with one at close range, are very rapid-fire with large magazine capacity, and the perps would be marked for later identification (assuming that government LEOs would even bother going after them). If the LEOs won't be bothered to enforce any Laws against leftists, then put the paintballs in the freezer first - what the hay.

The Police use Pepper-gas capsules in paintball markers for riot control, although I'm not sure I'd want to go using those indoors, even if us mere Subjects could obtain them.

Were I to be in a "Repel Boarders" situation in a Campaign Office, I might like a paintball "marker" on a lanyard in one hand - probably my left, as I'm righthanded - a short and sassy 12-ga auto or side-by loaded with rubber (they use those in Prisons to break up fights etc. sometimes) and a .45 ready to roll in discrete carry holster in case some thug chose to escalate the tactical situation / threat up a notch and pull something radical.
A paintball and charge of rubber buckshot simultaniously to the face of anyone going for anything heavy, like a knife or a pistol, would probably slow their draw down enough to switch equipment in a hurry and deal with the threat appropriately and decisively.

Of course the more Crew you have on deck to Repel said Boarders the better one's chances of success - not to mention survival.

One trick is to plan ahead so that Staff and any innocents on board can be quickly brought back to a secure rear area while Defenders take their positions, in the event that the door is breached. Having outside picketts deployed should reduce the risk of that happening appreciably.

There are other issues as well, but I'm not discussing them here on a public forum.

We have no guarentee that one of these invasions won't turn in to a hostage situation if it is allowed to - so we'd best be ready for it.

Remember that use of force will have to be justified!!! It is infinately simpler to justify soaking some A$$HOLE with a couple riot control sized cans of pepper spray than for giving the aforementioned A$$HOLE a sucking chest wound .

Pepper spray & pool cues are our friends 8^) Also if you use the pepper spray first by the time the TV crews get there you have the BIG cans of mace hidden & you put up the most petite & charming FEMALE worker out front telling how the goons were attacking & how afraid she was of getting assualted holding a personal sized can of pepper spray, this immediately puts the union goons on the defensive as they come off as rapist wannabe's .
