If John Kerry wins the presidential election three weeks from today, the Sinclair television network better watch out, a Kerry campaign press aide warned on Tuesday.
"Listen - they better look out there at Sinclair Broadcasting," campaign spokesman Chad Clanton threatened, as the controversy around Sinclair's decision to broadcast a documentary about Kerry's anti-Vietnam war protests continued to heat up. "I'm not a lawyer, but they've stirred up a lot of hatred," Clanton continued to rail on Fox News Channel's "Dayside with Linda Vester."
"We've got thousands of people now very mad, jackballed up - calling these [Sinclair] stations, protesting, threatening boycotts of their sponsors," he claimed.
"I think they're going to regret doing this," the Kerry spokesman warned before adding - "They better hope we don't win."
When asked if he meant his words as a threat, Clanton told Vester no.
But hours later, after top talk radio host Rush Limbaugh aired a tape of the exchange, he said Clanton's comments sounded to him like "a big threat" to retaliate if Kerry wins the White House.
I bet they're scared now, John.
Hey, maybe this will make Sinclair run it twice!
Just to be sure everyone sees Kerry's fraud.
They're just whining because they've had control of the MSM for years and Sinclair has the guts to stand up to them.
Who, exactly, is Chad Clanton and from under what rock did he crawl ?
BRING IT!!!!
NOT a threat?
They have to be kidding! If that isn't a threat, I sure as heck do want to see what IS one......
Nothing like Stalin-like subtlety, eh?
Just like the USSR. There is freedom of the press if you get preapproval from the government first.
People, this Linda Vester just let slip what the 'Rat party REALLY is; the party of absolute control over everyone and everything in the United States and God help those who get in their way.
doesnt sinclair know john kerry served in viet nam??? LMAO!
Oh, a threat.
"Don't worry, @sswipe, we're ALL hoping you don't win!
"I think they're going to regret doing this," the Kerry spokesman warned before adding - "They better hope we don't win."<<
This is definately a THREAT. I think SADDAM HUSSEIIN felt the same way about freedom in his country didn't he?
Phony documents on Sixty Minutes with Dan Rather -- good, just bad that he got caught.
Actual documentary by people who served with Kerry in Nam-- Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!
Everyone should be equal. Some are just more equal than others.
Really?
You'd have thought he would have mentioned something like that before now.
Other networks should pick it up if only to prove that free speech isn't only for liberals.
True, but this post was actually the first by two minutes.

Chad Clanton, who worked for Al Gore as well as for consultant James Carville. He also worked on Alex Sanderss failed 2002 Senate campaign in South Carolina. Anne Davis joined the campaign from the Democratic National Committee.
I ask this in all seriousness: Is Chad Clanton twelve years old?
