Is everything ok in r9etb land?

eh... Some good, some bad. Part of my peevishness is that I understand the strong temptations that accompany the other side of the issue.

The part of your posts I'm objecting to is where you're talking about the boy's "living the fantasy of many boys his age."

That's true enough -- but it also sharpens the discussion of what I find offensive in that attitude.

Let's consider the situation from the perspective of the horny 16-yo boy. Are his actions right and proper?

There are two ways to look at it. If the boy is capable of making his own decisions, then by his actions he has helped to break up the woman's family. In which case he is in the wrong.

In a more general case, if our "responsible boy" has sex with an unmarried teacher, he is still in the wrong, because fornication is wrong.

And if the boy is too young to make good decisions -- and he's therefore not responsible for his actions -- then it is in fact "abuse" on the part of the teacher, to lead him into actions we both acknowledge to be wrong.

"Boyhood fantasies" are all very real, and very attractive. But at at the same time, the hormone-driven fantasies of young boys have never been known to discriminate well between what's right and wrong. That's why we, as adult men, should not put ourselves in the position of giving boys an added incentive to something we know to be wrong.
