We join the Capitol Hill security chief, the Homeland Security leadership, the mayor of Washington and, apparently, every other member of Congress in scratching our heads at Mark Dayton's preemptive shuttering of his Senate office. What can he really be thinking?

I read that this morning too.
Nice to see the Red Star occasionally take a shot at a Democrat!
Did you see the letters to the editor regarding Dayton?
He definitely got beat over the head today.
Brave Sir Dayton ran away (No!)
Bravely ran away, away (I didn't!)
When danger reared its ugly head
He bravely turned his tail and fled (No!)
Yes, brave Sir Dayton turned about
And gallantly he chickened out
Bravely taking to his feet
He beat a very brave retreat
Bravest of the brave, Sir Dayton
Hey Dayton, run for your life...leave thye hard work for others...
He's now got a new nickname-
"Evacuatin' Dayton"
Democrats tucking tail and running?
Never happened before has it?
I understand that he personally wet himself at the Battle of Badon Hill.
There is considerable speculation that Dayton is ill, on psychotrophic drugs for depression, or approaching some type of mental breakdown.
It's hard to tell, because he's been peddling nonsense for years.
Dayton has again demonstrated that the stature of his high office is beyond is personal reach.
Compare and contrast the actions of our illustrious senior Senator with the actions of a 13 year old girl at Belsan.

I heard on Mark Levin's show yesterday, that Jeff Sessions asked Bill Frist for Dayton's office space, since it is unoccupied.
Perhaps Dayton thinks he's become a Target.
Speaking of Jeff Sessions, I'd like to see a Giuliani/Sessions ticket for 08.
To anyone who has the same contempt for Mark Dayton that I do, you might enjoy my new blog:

We knew he was nuts when he spent $12 million of his own department store fortune on a job that pays $150,000/year.
Dear Mr. Mark Dayton,
You might know who me, but I'm Mark Dayton and I'm running for the U.S. Senate seat in Minnesota. I would appreciate your support.
Please include a contribution of $6 $12 million.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerly,
Mark Dayton for Senate
Yeah, I really like Jeff Sessions, too
Good line! At least I thought so:

Great minds think alike. :o)
I hear you.
There have been rumors that Dayton has been taking some pretty heavy psychotrophic drugs for quite a while now. He's almost insinuated as much in the past in a past interview with the Red Star.
It's tragic because mental illness can strike any of us at anytime and you wouldn't wish it on anyone. I suspect that his judgement may be impaired by medication or mental illness...or both.
But I'm no doctor. Other people can probably tell better than I can.
But you'd think he'd have a chief of staff or some high-level advisors who could rein him in and warn him how disastrous his retreat would be. None of us Minnesotans can probably remember the last time the Strib berated a Democrat.
